These thing are awesome. They shoot crossbow bolts into people when you hit them. It reloads as a light crossbow, which is a free action with Rapid Reload (Hand Crossbow Focus?).
In general: Double benefits to damage from size. They don't have crazy damage to start off with, but it's cool.
Applications of Poison twice with each blow.
The extra damage might be another attack (No Attack Roll required... pointless unless it was implying it's another form of attack) for extra benefits.
Use magical bolts for extra effects.
War Spikard: Double Benefit from Greater Mighty Wallop.
Spear thingy: Pretend you have a gunlance!
I think 2 feats is worth using these regularly if you can figure out how to benefit. Poison users who use crossbows anyway might want to grab a feat/spell/item to use these.
