Question, according to the rules, you can aim for an object someone holds with a eldritch blast, as it counts as a ray spell.

Can you use Eldritch Chain, to do multiple sunderings, on what one person is wearing?

((No losing loot or such comments please, am already aware of that problem as part of using this strategy))

By my reading you can, but it's not a great strategy as EB does half-damage to objects even before you get to the hardness.

Do held objects, get the benfit of their owners spell resistance?

Yes, and their touch AC as well.

You could use hammer blast, but that is a waste of an invocation IMO.

that would be a waste, but excellent to use with a warlock scepter that has it, could be an excellent way to make an example of someone without killing them.

Would work for a Warlock enemy if your party is OK with items being destroyed, throw in a quickened reaving dispel to completely wreck magic items,

I thought Vitriolic blast changed it to acid damage, which is fairly good against hardness to my recollection, as well as being top's Vs. SR

Vitriolic blast does indeed change to acid, which deals full damage vs objects and ignores SR, so that'd be one way to make it work.
