According to the Epic Level Handbook (page 156), the Paragon (http://www.d20srd.org/srd/epic/monsters/paragonCreature.htm) template has an LA of +11 and the Pseudonatural (http://www.d20srd.org/srd/epic/monsters/pseudonaturalCreature.htm) template has an LA of +13. Can anyone think of any non-epic, non-gestalt builds in which these massive LA's would be worth the template benefits?

Epic Ones. High level epic gestalt ones.

Paragon Phaerimm Hatchling Sorcerer. 9 levels puts you at level 18 Sorcerer casting along with the benefits of the Paragon Template. HP is offset by the max HD and additional 12 HP per level, and the rest is just gravy. Of course, this might be impractical given build expectancies at a general table.

Paragon triples movement speed, so I'll take a crack at it with my beloved Mercury Wyrmling. With +11 LA, there's no holding back on the cheese though.

Paragon Shadow Creature Lightkeeper Mercury Wyrmling 3/LA+15/Totemist 2

Feats: Flyby Attack, Power Attack (Flaw), Extra Turning (Flaw), Divine Might

Bind Landshark Boots to Totem and use your 900ft perfect flight (930 with your Haste SLA) and Flyby Attack to hit with 4 claws with Str, Dex (Fierce enchancement on all 4 claws from a necklace of natural weapons), and Cha (Divine Might) to damage. With the bonuses from equipment and Paragon, you should be doing enough damage to pose a threat to CR20 encounters. Some CR20 monsters will be able to just blow through your 5 HD like tissue paper from a mere 500ft, but this might not be terrible.

In the same vein...

Wandering Paragon Shadow Creature Mercury Wyrmling of War 3/LA +15/Hit and Run Fighter 1/Monk 1

Feats: Flyby Attack, Great Flyby Attack (flaw), 2nd flaw feat Chaos Shuffled/Psychic Reformationed to Shadow Blade, Marital Study (Shadow Blade Technique), Martial Stance (Child of Shadow) (Fighter), Weapon Finesse (Wyrm of War), Improved Unarmed Strike (Monk), Any other Monk feat, possibly using Martial Monk cheese or Chaos Shuffled into something usable.

Make 900ft (930 with haste, and more if you have a Monk's Belt for an unarmored speed bonus) Great Flyby Attacks dealing Dex x3 to everything in a straight line (Fierce, Shadow Blade, Hit and Run Fighter) to use your ridiculous +22 Dex bonus (Dex is 18+4 racial+6 Wandering +15 Paragon+5 inherent+6 item=44) to full effect. Your Str mod will be added in as well.
