Does using the feat Occular Spell from Lords of Madness provoke an attack of opportunity?

You first cast the spell. This provokes AoO for casting a spell, though you can cast defensively.

You then have the spell stored in your eyes. When you shoot it out as a ray, this provokes an AoO for making a ranged attack.

It's a strange circumstance, but technically making Ranged Touch Attacks and Ranged Full Attacks never provokes AoOs.

Probably not the intent, but RAW only the Attack (Ranged) action provokes.

My interpretation of a "touch attack" works exactly the same as a regular attack, except some AC bonuses do not apply. So Touch Attack (Ranged) would be a subset of Attack (Ranged)

It is still not defined as Gaze attack, but a Ray (a ranged touch attack). So, no, you do not gaze at them, you snipe them with your laser eyes :)
