In keeping with the whole theme of this being Elan's plot Arc, finding his father, and dealing with the demons in his closet, as well as the OOTS being hopelessly outmatched by Tarquin's Party...

Would this not be the perfect moment for Julio Scoundrel to return, and save the day, only to be struck down by Tarquin, so Nale can cradle Julio's body in his arms and swear revenge? (http://www.giantitp.com/comics/oots0392.html)

I'm guessing Julio would say no.

Why would Julio Scoundrèl be flying over the middle of nothing in the desert to be able to interfere in the first place?

Especially after what happened the last time (we know of) that he was in the desert...

Well Julio does kinda fit the role of Obi-wan, if we're going to continue with the Star Wars motif. I think we've moved past it already, though.

Unless someone gets "killed" and then secretly brought back to life as a graveknight, then given a brilliant energy weapon... "Darth" Roy perhaps?

as well as the OOTS being hopelessly outmatched by Tarquin's Party...

OOTS:
Roy - Alive
Haley - Alive
Durkon - undead, stronger than ever
Elan - Alive
Belkar - Alive
V - Alive

TT/LG
Nale - Dead
Thog - Probably dead
Z - Dead
Sabine - Banished
Malack - Dead
Kil-kil - booked it
Yuk-Yuk -Dead
Laurin - Alive
Tarquin - Alive
Miron - Alive

OH WOE IS THE ORDER, THE CONSTANT ASS KICKING THEY'VE TAKEN THIS ARC HAS BEEN NEIGH UNBEARABLE!

Yeah, I meow exactly what you mean. It's gotten really baaaahd. Rich has really raised the woof on the ass-kicking this chapter. It's going to be hard to moooove on.

Something I just noted looking at Xelbiuj's list.

TT/LG
Nale - Dead (Tarquin)
Thog - Probably dead (Probably Roy)
Z - Dead (Durkula, in his resignation from TT/LG)
Sabine - Banished (Durkon, but removed as a likely further threat to OOTS by Tarquin)
Malack - Dead (Nale)
Kil-kil - booked it
Yuk-Yuk -Dead (Malack Zz'dtri)
Laurin - Alive
Tarquin - Alive
Miron - Alive

So I think there's a decent chance that Laurin, Tarquin, and Miron will wind up taking each other out in some manner.

Julio: I don't want to see you again, because if I do the plot will probably get me killed.

Forum: THIS MEANS THAT JULIO'S GONNA SHOW UP AT A CRUCIAL MOMENT TO DIE, RIGHT!!!????

Zz'dtri killed Yukyuk.

Killing Yukyuk while he's dominated and on the side of the Order barely counts. V is the one that really beat him.

I just don't want the credit randomly given to Malack. (Is that a Priest of Nergal class feature? "Whenever someone dies within a thousand feet of you, you may make a Wisdom check to make anyone observing believe you actually killed whoever it was.")

Possibly, but more that I remembered that he had been killed by an AoE spell from a flying caster during the LG/TT's first attack on the Order of the Stick in Windy Canyon, and that Malack had been flying when he cast Flame Strike, and neglected to check to make sure that my conclusions were correct.

So arguably a failed Wisdom check on my part, but not one that requires a class ability from Malack?

Not only does Julio Scoundrel appear in one of the bonus features in SS&DT, but one of the Kickstarter Rewards is a sequel to that comic! It will be collected with all of the other Kickstarter Rewards comics sometime in the future.

If Julio ever shows up again, he'll probably be shopping at the market.

Elan will call out to him, Julio will look over to Elan, curse loudly, then get inexplicably decapitated by a surprise bandit.

So no. If he's ever seen again, it's only going to be moments before his death.

Er... that is correct!

Zz'dtri cast the empowered vitriolic sphere (http://www.giantitp.com/comics/oots0847.html) that killed Yuk Yuk. Specifically, the second one killed him.

Add me to the list of people who weren't expecting this, and then watched all the pieces fall into place as soon as Julio Scoundrél made his (incredibly cool) appearance.
