I'm playing a thri kreen ranger going 2WF with two gythkas (double bladed slashing weapons). I want to get the item familiar feat, but on the text for the special ability (Weapon Special Ability) it says you can add the equivalent of a +1 bonus to the weapon: does the bonus acquired only apply to a single blade, like weapon enchantments, or does it apply to the entire weapon?

Normally, if you wanted to pay an enchanter to enchant your weapon, or buy a fresh magical double weapon, you have to pay per blade, and each blade can have different enchantments, so you could have a +1 Keen/+2 Double Sword. Under this logic, I would say the +1 would apply to only 1 blade, because it says add +1 to the weapon, and for terms of enchantment, each blade is counted as a weapon. I would rule that if you used the same ability again, you could put it on the other blade.

Thank you both for replying. I'd figured that's how it would work. Anyone know how to make a ragewind (MMII).
