I'm writing this on my phone so I'll try to keep this brief.

So, I picked up Tenra Bansho Zero-Heaven and Earth edition today, and having read the first ~70 pages, I'm liking what I see. However, I intend on GMing the game in about two weeks at my birthday party, and since school will keep me rather busy, I probably won't have as much time to read the books as I'd hope.

That's why I came here, in hopes that some of our lovely playgrounders with more experience could help me get started with this system. I'm mostly thinking about any common problems that come up, but any and all advice in getting this game up and running would be appreciated.

Thanks in advance.

1: You don't need to bother with reading the setting book yet.
2: The game moves very quickly.
3: Read up on the Aiki cycle, as much as you can, and know how the Anatman phase works. Those, in my mind, are the two most important parts of making the game run well.
4: Download and print out the Emotion Matrix (http://www.tenra-rpg.com/support/emotion_matrix.pdf), the Fate Tracker (http://www.tenra-rpg.com/support/TBZ_SessionLog.pdf), the character sheet (http://www.tenra-rpg.com/support/TBZ_2p_sheet.pdf) (including an extra one for yourself, so that you have an easy reference for the skills and attributes), and the Rules Quick Reference (https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B5aACMJOXiR-UGlNTlFMTS14WEk/edit?usp=sharing)
5: Download and print out the Everything a GM Needs Document (https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B5aACMJOXiR-cGloTkJVYnRSUVU/edit?usp=sharing), which will give you easy access to a lot of rules.

That should help considerably. (The Rules Quick Reference and the GM Reference Document were put together by Jane Olszewska (https://plus.google.com/u/0/118098388322970103404?prsrc=4#11809838832297010340 4/posts?prsrc=4))

Most importantly, have fun with it! It's a great fast-and-loose game that you can do a lot with. If you're in need of a scenario to run to help you get a handle on the rules, Lotus Blossom's Bridal Path (https://plus.google.com/u/0/118098388322970103404?prsrc=4#11809838832297010340 4/posts?prsrc=4) is a great place to start.
