For example, suppose someone is studying a language and other forum-goers are proficient in said language. According to the forum rules we have

This is an English-speaking forum. With the exception of text-only translations of the comic or other specifically authorized exceptions, please use English only on this forum. While an occasional word or phrase is acceptable, entire posts, conversations, or threads in languages other than English will be scrubbed or closed.

It would not be an entire post, conversation or thread in a language other than English. In particular, I'm hoping this would fall under the, "specifically authorized exceptions."

If not, that's fine too.

Without being specifically authorised, that would not be allowed. Specifically authorised exceptions are exceptions that have been specifically authorised - people have asked and been granted that exception. In general, we do not allow it, but if you feel that there is a need, you can contact a moderator for the specific forum you would like to post it in. Include a full and exhaustive explanation of the thread, its purpose, and how it will work. That moderator will then review it and if they feel it is important to consider it, will bring it to the attention of the team for consideration.
