Going through the recent FAQ rulings, noticed some "fun" things.
Some good, some bad, some...eh.

Lots of typically 'stupid' FAQ's, my favorite being this one (http://paizo.com/paizo/faq/v5748nruor1fm#v5748eaic9r95):

Prestige Class Requirements: If a prestige class requires 5 ranks in a skill and I have 6 ranks in that skill, do I still meet the requirements?

Yes, because skill ranks are inclusive: if you have 6 ranks in a skill, then you have 5 ranks in that skill, and therefore meet the "have 5 ranks in [this] skill" requirement.
...

Yeah...

Anywho, on to the meat and potatos!
(note: the following are not all of the recent rulings, some of those with less importance have been left out)

Good:
*They removed the examples from the "Free Actions (http://paizo.com/paizo/faq/v5748nruor1fm#v5748eaic9r85)" ruling from earlier this month. Previously, the examples STRONGLY recommended a limit of around _3_ Free Actions per turn.

*Sohei Monks can Flurry (http://paizo.com/paizo/faq/v5748nruor1g1#v5748eaic9rag) while wearing Light Armor! They still do NOT get WIS to AC in Light Armor though. This is actually a (partial) reversal of "the author's intent (http://paizo.com/threads/rzs2n203&page=2?Sohei-Monk-armor-and-flurry-of-blows#61)".

*Feral Combat Training (http://paizo.com/paizo/faq/v5748nruor1g1#v5748eaic9rbe) lets you use Monk Unarmed Damage in place of the normal damage from that attack. So a high level Monk with a Bite attack, can Bite for 2d10 damage.

Bad:
*Weapon Cords (http://paizo.com/paizo/faq/v5748nruor1gg#v5748eaic9r9l) are now (near) useless pieces of garbage. It now takes a Move action to retrieve a dropped Weapon Cord item. It also takes a Move action to pick up a _normally_ dropped item. The _only_ use now, is to keep the weapon within 1-square distance of you.
Most likely reason for this nerf: Gunslingers could use it to ACTUALLY fight with 2 weapons. That is no longer the case.

Other:
*Retraining classes (http://paizo.com/paizo/faq/v5748nruor1gn#v5748eaic9r9e) has acquired a ham-fisted revision.
New ruling: You cannot use retraining to replace a base class level with a prestige class level.
Now of course the _intent_ here is that you can't get rid of your 'qualifying' base class levels. The _effect_ is a little different, as now a Base class can NEVER be retrained to anything but a base class. Even if those base class levels may have been taken AFTER the Prc.

*(The one is 'technically' a good ruling due to oversight when printed, but some will view it as "horrible", thus it goes in the "other" section)
Alchemist Confusion Bombs (http://paizo.com/paizo/faq/v5748nruor1fz#v5748eaic9rbh) require a Saving Throw.

*Wildblooded and Crossblooded (http://paizo.com/paizo/faq/v5748nruor1fz#v5748eaic9rai) Sorcerers do not mix. Most of us knew this was the likely case, but there was no _real_ conflict with mixing the two.
The fun part of this is their answer "No, they don't combine, but if you wanted to here's how it would work... *wink*"

Thanks grarrg! I'm glad they came out and nipped the Aasimar thing in the bud.

I think this is an excellent idea for a thread series btw. Sort of a FAQ digest every month (or every quarter?) with the new rulings/clarifications/errata summarized in one place. The FAQ section has no "history."

On the rulings themselves:

1) The free action one I expected after all the massive butthurt hue and cry over the examples.

2) I love the Sohei one, not merely because of the Sohei itself, but because it means we're getting a new Ultimate Combat printing after all  This means we might actually see a fix to the Pistolero.

3) Feral Combat Monks are also good news.

4) The Weapon Cord I expected.

5) I see no problem with the retraining one. Presumably if you're taking a base class AFTER a PrC, you've either planned the break or you finished taking the PrC anyway. This is the best way to prevent shenanigans.

6) Confusion Bombs: YEEEEESSSSS!!!!

7) Wildblooded and Crossblooded - I didn't even know those were miscible to be honest, but I guess it's moot now.
