Tomorrow I am going to be playing until either I run out of gas money or winter strikes. But I am looking to create a charater who can facilitate the means of being a rogue with trapfinding and such sense soon the MIND DRONE of the group will soon loose his ability to have roguish skills to find and disable traps.

But I like having a Psion as well. The Psion I made is a kinetisist for DPS only.

We are starting out at level 7 which means if I go and take a level or two of rogue I am sacrificing 4th level powers and caster wise will drop me behind slightly.

Which means I would have to redesign the whole character from a kobold to something that has rogue as a favored class due to the DM incuring those pesky multi class rules. So my question is, do I keep with the psionic route with the rogue, or do I go with something possibly more surviveable with more PRCs to boost things and go with a Wizard/Rogue combination?, sense from what I gather Rogues and psions dont exactly mix when it comes to PRCs ?

They mix as a base class: Psychic Rogue (http://www.wizards.com/default.asp?x=dnd/psm/20040723b).

There are several Psion/Rogue friendly PrCs: Shadowmind, Elocater, Psionic Trickster (Magical Trickster adaptation CSco 47), Daggerspell Psion (Daggerspell Mage adaptation CAdv 32), Cognition Thief and Psychic Assassin to name a few.

I personally prefer straight Psychic Rogue but since you're starting at level 7 you can do Psion/Rogue/PrC easily and get higher-level powers that way. Go with Seer, Nomad or Telepath.

My personal favourite psionic skillmonkey is the pathfinder cryptic. Ask your dm if you can use this class! Link is here (http://www.d20pfsrd.com/psionics-unleashed/classes/cryptic)
