Wizard thought about using Disintegrate against a Dread Wraith tonight, but as it is an undead and thus immune to fortitude based spells, I figured it would be impossible. The text for undead traits reads as

Immunity to any effect that requires a Fortitude save (unless the effect also works on objects or is harmless).

Disintegrate also works on objects. So what's the ruling? Are there any other fortitude based spells that work on undead that might not be straightforward?

Yes, disintegrate works fine against undead, it is infact notorious for being incredibly useful against them, since undead typically have poor fortitude saves, and mediocre HP, since they don't get a con bonus

Flesh to stone can also be quite useful, depending on your DM. It's not entirely RAW, since flesh to stone say's it's target is one creature, but most DMs allow flesh to stone to affect non-living fleshy targets, such as corpses, or fleshy sections created by stone to flesh, and thus would also allow fleshy undead to be affected.

Ya I don't think flesh to stone should work. Disintegrate definitely does though, glass strike from SpC also works wonders against undead.

Affliction and bone chill are spells that should work on undead, but don't because of the save.
