Welcome to the GITP forums!

You might have more luck in the D&D 3.X forum (http://www.giantitp.com/forums/forumdisplay.php?f=59) (I presume that's the system you're using). You can use the report post button (the triangle one under someone's avatar) to ask our friendly moderation staff to move this thread there if you like.

Hope you have a good time on the forums!

Sneakiness? It's hard to do better than a continuous Collar of Umbral Metamorphisis (ToM pg156).

my char has heavy connections to the Plane of Shadow, so I'm currently lobbying for a Dark Template (I already got Darkvision from lvl1, so why not?)

Ask Curmudgeon (http://www.giantitp.com/forums/showpost.php?p=10866689&postcount=4) would probably be my first thought. Not sure if he has a handbook lying around though.

If you're impatient, you can always go to the minmaxboards and look at their handbook index. It has a rogue section, under martial classes I think.

Google can actually pretty good if you use the domain search function.

No, I meant to search the threads for particular topics or key words.

Well, yeah. The only way I search this site is via Google :smallwink:
I don't even know if GitP has a search function!

He doesn't, and he should make one.

I agree. Let's start a protest. Oooh. Maybe an online petition? Like change.org :smalltongue:

I agree. He has way too much Rogue talent to not make one! :smallwink:

Two Rogue handbooks here (http://www.giantitp.com/forums/showthread.php?t=156350) and here (http://community.wizards.com/forum/previous-editions-character-optimization/threads/1028051).

Also JaronK's guide to proper scouting (http://www.minmaxboards.com/index.php?topic=8995.0) should help.

Seems you've already had plenty of welcome, but I'll give you some more! Always nice to see a fellow rogue lover join the boards.

The handbooks will have plenty of information for you. I'll just drop a few tips:

O Make sure you take the Daring Outlaw feat to benefit from those swashbuckler levels (I assume that's why you're taking them, but if not... more knowledge for you )
O It might be best to take at least three levels of swashbuckler to nab Insightful Strike. You'll get even more class synergy, as rogues typically have high Intelligence.
O Rogues get a lot of goodies in the first five levels, and even more if alternate class features are allowed. Swashbucklers don't get as many nice things, but they do get full BAB. Make sure you know what you're trading in when you judge it's time to switch classes.

I'm sure the guides can help more. I'm just a fan of swashbuckler/rogues. Good luck!

The forum had a search function. It slowed down things and was heavy enough on the system to warrant being taken off. As long as your search includes gitp, forum qnd such, Google should do just Fine.
Welcome.

You can also do a site search in Google directly.
