First hinted here (http://www.giantitp.com/comics/oots0109.html), I think

And in #45, she calls him sweetie

Tornek, my sister calls everyone "sweetie" doesn't mean she loves them. It is also a reference used from kindness.

Honestly? The first time I thought they might have something for eachother was here: http://www.giantitp.com/comics/oots0008.html

Ever since then I've not believed otherwise.

although hindsight is 20/20 and i can go back through the comic and figure out where it first starts hinting at it... i think that this is when it punched me in the face and said "hi, i'm a story arc, nice to meet you"

I'm honestly sort of sick this, especially because we had all the endlessly emo Haley moments whie she couldn't speak.

It was definitely hinted at since very early in the comic, especially when we met the Linear Guild. But it was during the battle with Xykon that we saw real, undeniable tension.

It's basically been throughout the comic.

Or there's the really obvious scene at New Year's when :haley: drags :elan: off for a romatic dinner and is shouting in cryptograms that she loves him. But he thinks she just wants to order a salad. Sigh. Why are the cute ones always so dumb?

Y'know, some folks would remind you that she was in fact babbling at him and thus he shouldn't be expected to understand her. But I can't. Because sometimes my husband gets bad fits of stuttering, and there was one time we were out at dinner with friends, and he turned to me and started to ask a question but ended up spouting gibberish - and I was able to answer his question 'cause I was able to deduce via context what he was trying to ask (he wanted to know if I wanted to get dessert).

It freaked the heck out of my friends, though! =)

That just shows Physical attraction, though personal experience shows that it could lead to more.

There is another category. I'm very handsome and very clever (also mediocre)

Anyone remember:
:haley:: Elan, I think I'm in love with y-

The first hint was in OotPC when she winks at him. Not only does he not get it, but he calls the entire Order's attention to it.

Yes, just physical attraction, but it's something.
