I'm getting a "this site's security certificate can't be validated" message, so I would steer clear.

Normally dodgy sites get blocked by McAfee on my machine. This one didn't get that far: Firefox blocked it :smalleek:

Mirrorstone is the young adult / novel section of Wizards of the Coast.

I believe they do have an online shop, so uses secure https instead of http.

If the cert cannot be verified, it's either phoney or they
forgot to renew.

If you aren't buying anything or sending personal info over, it's fine.

I didn't see the url before you scrubbed it, but if it's *.wizards.com, it's legit. Otherwise, I doubt so.

I remember that Mirrorstone do have some published stats for Drizzt and Company though.

If you weren't getting any warnings when trying to access the site, CyberDrag, you might consider switching your browser.

Do you use IE? If so, something like Firefox or Chrome might be a better choice. I always run FF/Chrome with NoScript and Ghostery as well. If you're on a mac and prefer safari (don't bother with it on windows), then javascript blocker or javascript blacklist works decently well. Adblock is available for all three browsers; just remember to whitelist sites that deserve revenue. I haven't used opera in a while, but I'm sure there's equivalent extensions for it as well.
