Hello once again everybody!
I'm going to be running a steampunk/psionics campaign (no magic whatsoever) for some friends of mine and am lacking in the steampunk part of it :smalleek: Do any of you know of some good books for that stuff? I'm using d20 Past for the guns, but aside from them, warforged, and numerous constructs, I've not got much.

I'm willing to use everything but the various magazines due to a lack of access.
So, here's a list I guess:

Races - something robotic would be cool.
Classes.
Vehicles that use steam to move about - land, air, sea, burrowing, etc.
Weapons and armor - clockwork and cogs kinda stuff.
Monsters - can't have enough of those!
Anything else you guys could think of, I'm not creative

Any and all help would be appreciated. Thank you to everybody who helps with this

Apparently I'm using Google wrong then :smalltongue: I couldn't find anything but "Look in Eberron."

Eberron is sort of steampunk-y. Before Eberron, though, there was the Iron Kingdoms. They have their own rules now, but the old edition should be compatible with d20. They don't have robots as a a race, but their is a prestige class that lets you control one.

Controlling one is just as cool as being one :smalltongue: Just read some of the reviews, Iron Kingdoms looks pretty stinkin' awesome.

I'm going to recommend Etherscope by Goodman Games.

More Victorianapunk than Steampunk, but it does include rules for cybernaughtic enhancements.

Great link. I've run both Etherscope and Iron Kingdoms and like the campaigns though I must admit a preference to the Iron Kingdoms. If you want mostly urban adventures Etherscope is great: for everything else Iron Kingdoms shine.

You could convert the Steamjacks to a character class...

The opinion on the Fantasy Flight Games book, Sorcery and Steam, is dead on. Pulled a few items out of it but out of the steampunk genre books on my shelf it is the least used.

At the risk of perhaps offending some folks' sensibilities; I prefer Iron Kingdoms over Eberron any day.

Problem is going to be finding the books. The print books are prohibitively expensive on Amazon and I believe drivethrurpg no longer carries the pdfs.

I know nothing about the new ruleset.

For a moment I read that as cybernaughty, but I think that's a completely different splatbook .

The Clockwork Armor and other clockwork wonders on Wizards' website would be a good fit here:

Mechanus Gear (I remember the plate armor, not sure if there's anything else) would fit too.

And for monsters we have clockwork horrors, effigies. Golems are more magictech, but you might be able to fluff it.

The Engineer (http://www.giantitp.com/forums/showthread.php?t=114229) and Machinist (http://www.giantitp.com/forums/showthread.php?t=262484) are both cool steampunk base classes.

The Xenoalchemist (http://www.giantitp.com/forums/showthread.php?t=205119) has a sort-of stemapunk feel, but has more to do with biology and surgey than mechanics. It might work with the setting though.

This (http://www.giantitp.com/forums/showthread.php?p=11530623) was a prestige-class making competition where the theme was steampunk. In particular, the Necroclock Knight (twelfth post) and the Etherjammer (third to sixth posts) and both pretty good.

The Gramarie (http://www.giantitp.com/forums/showthread.php?t=291019) subsystem is a pretty complex piece of work based off Magipunk, which could be refluffed to Psipunk for your setting.

Victorianapunk? :smallconfused: I've not heard of that, what's the difference between it and Steampunk?

It's about 50/50 on the urban/not urban-ness (couldn't think of the word, don't laugh at me!), so Etherscope will likely be used. Sorcery and Steam and Iron Kingdoms both have your approval, that's good.
What's the "Steamjack"?

I thought the same thing, also could you link to that that splatbook? :smallwink::smalltongue:

I have the book with Mechanus Gear in it, it's in the Planar Handbook if memory serves right. It and Sanctioned Plate were pretty cool
Thanks for the link!

Lotta links! :smalleek: Thank you, I'll begin looking through them now.

Psionic Artificer? Or just the normal one seeing as they technically aren't magic?

Much higher focus on Age of Imperialism mentality than Age of Discovery.

It isn't magic? I'm more than a little confused now :smallfrown:

Ah, gotcha. Thanks for the easily understood explanation

Ohh, I just remembered that there was this class that let's you create a wooden automaton called a Gondsman

Faerun I think.
Let me see if I can remember the class.

Edit
Found it, Techsmith from Faiths and Patheons.

Techsmith also allows the user to craft various gadgets instead of casting spells. Cool stuff.
