Reviving Dead Campaigns into short fiction?

I had always wondered if giantitp had a place to allow some cliched, episodic fiction that picked up where a PBP campaigned has fizzled.

With original DM and PC consent most likely, and avoiding these big No-No's:

Real-world religions (including religious reactions to gaming)
Real-world politics (including political reactions to gaming)
Graphic violence
Illegal drugs
Illegal/Criminal activity
Explicit sexuality

Essentially can you can take a compelling PBP game that has stopped and extrapolate it into some possibly trite, possibly entertaining fantasy fiction and post it on the giantitp boards somewhere?

Can be done? Does copyright issues come about? Or otherwise?

Creative writing goes in Arts and Crafts. If they're your characters and/or you have the permission of the characters' owners, I don't see how copyright could possibly come into it at all.
