OK so I have been thinking of taking leadership to take my fighter to a war chief class for role playing purposes but if I'm gonna go this rout what feats would you suggest.

Is your fighter an orc or half-orc of some variety? (http://www.wizards.com/default.asp?x=dnd/ex/20030301a)

Then the PrC towards the bottom of the page I linked earlier should also be of interest.

The Leadership feat is a good start...

I kid.

Not a feat per-say, but you might consider looking at a Tanarukk (http://forgottenrealms.wikia.com/wiki/Tanarukk)as a potential cohort. Might not be OP, but certainly could add some nice flavor.

If you want sheer numbers: Extra Followers (http://dndtools.eu/feats/heroes-of-battle--69/extra-followers--1020/)

A bard with dragonfire inspiration is a great cohort. Make him have a huge wardrum and you can give all your followers and yourself +5d6 fire damage pretty easily.

Just a tip for putting it really over the top, but Construct Graphs are amazing if you can survive the save.

Tip: Dip Warblade or Swordsage and learn the corresponding Diamond Mind Counter for replacing that save with a concentration check, then Pump concentration like crazy, just have to get it to pass the DC a few times to get the graphs and have an utterly wicket Str and Con increase.

Now that sounds awesome.

How'd you get it to +5d6? I only see +4d6 max at level 20?

There are other ways to scale IC bonus, often with items and spells. IIRC, the Words of Creation [Exalted] feat doubles the bonus outright.

OP: You may find this (http://www.minmaxboards.com/index.php?topic=9963.0)interesting as well.

Bards do make for excellent cohorts, as has been said, since they're pretty sweet force multipliers. And if Dragonfire Inspiration is on the table, even a few follower bards, if they can be set up to offer different damage types, stack to great effect.

A combination of feats, items, and spells. There's an Inspire Courage Op Handbook (http://www.minmaxboards.com/index.php?topic=8936.0) which lays out the main parts of it.
