Okay, so I want to build a tribute to the original Kamen Rider, Takeshi Hongo. (Reference (http://kamenrider.wikia.com/wiki/Takeshi_Hongo)) I have my needs lined out, and how to get them, in a way. The only problem is the classes and build progression, as well as a few magical items.
The primary way to damage the opponents will be through Unarmed Strike, as Takeshi often did. I have seen the Unarmed Strike Threads here, and I have taken note of them. Anyway, I'll list what abilities that the bad guys upgraded/installed into Takeshi (Yes, he is a cyborg.), his combat style, and how I've decided to cover them.
Cyborg Abilities:
- Cat's Eye: Essentially Darkvision, simple enough with a set of lenses for that.
- Crusher: The part of his mask that let him use a bite to break chains, I'll be using the Fanged Mask (8300 GP, MIC p. 99) to replicate that if needed, and also provide a bit of aesthetic.
- Artificial Lungs: Allows Takeshi to recycle Air for up to two hours, replicated through Necklace of Adaptation (http://www.d20srd.org/srd/magicItems/wondrousItems.htm#necklaceofAdaptation).
-Artificial Muscles + Jump Shoes: Upgraded leg muscles of metal and spring-soled shoes that allowed Takeshi to jump like a human-sized Grasshopper, replicated through ranks in Jump, Boots of Striding and Springing (http://www.d20srd.org/srd/magicItems/wondrousItems.htm#bootsofStridingandSpringing), and possibly a Ring of Improved Jumping early on.
Fighting Style: Focus on Unarmed strikes, and the finisher usually being the superpowered flying kick.
-Feats: Unarmed Strike/Improved Unarmed Strike, Power Attack, Flying Kick, Leap of the Heavens (http://dndtools.eu/feats/players-handbook-ii--80/leap-of-the-heavens--1742/), Snap Kick (http://dndtools.eu/feats/tome-of-battle-the-book-of-nine-swords--88/snap-kick--2658/), Raptor School (http://dndtools.eu/feats/complete-warrior--61/raptor-school--2382/), and Leap Attack (http://dndtools.eu/feats/complete-adventurer--54/leap-attack--1741/).
A motorcycle is easily accomplished in 3.5 through a design I made for my last campaign using steam power.
Anyway, can anyone help me select the best classes for building Takeshi and his feat progression? I was thinking of using Monk for at least 2 levels, Fighter, and maybe Factotum. Feedback would be helpful.
