This one is about how the spread of settlement population sizes in Pathfinder (and other d20 fantasy games) is a bit more modern than it might look.
I've been doing some research for part of my Fantasy Settlements (http://running-the-game.blogspot.co.uk/2013/07/creating-fantasy-settlements.html) blog series, trying to work out how often one should come across settlements in different sorts of settings - and running the numbers on those default settlements, it seems they're based on modern data rather than historical.
Of course, maybe a wizard did it - but it's nice to know in advance that you might need a wizard to do it, before you invoke her.
