Hello, everyone!
So, has anyone noticed how the Red Mantis Assassins look like Kamen Riders?

In that spirit, I want to play a Red Mantis Assassin based on the old-style Kamen Riders - you know, secret organization gave them powers now they use those powers against the organization.
I wanted to keep as much Kamen Rider flavor as possible. A scarf is easy, but I have no idea how I'd get a finishing kick or a motorbike.
I thought of using Hungry Ghost Qigong Monk as the base class, but MAD is killing me.

So, uh... help? :smallwink:

YOu should probably take Fighter or Barbarian with a monk dip and get MoMS on it to get the Dragon Style feats.

Motorcycle is indeed hard. For DnD 3.5 you could built an AirElemental Speeder or maybe FireElemental Speeder (Eberron had these things).

Well, if You are not against using Homebrew, The-Mage-Knight had made a great tokusatsu-themed Base Class, called Sentai:

It has everything that someone wanting to create a Kamen Rider-like character.

There was a similar thread recently. (http://www.giantitp.com/forums/showthread.php?t=313813)

If you're using 3.P, try a hellbred paladin. Either select a mount as your divine bond, or be a Sacred Servant with the Good (Redemption) (http://www.d20pfsrd.com/classes/core-classes/cleric/domains/paizo---domains/good-domain/redemption-subdomain) domain (inquisitor also works).

The-Mage-King, actually.

As for the subject of motorcycles, I'd suggest seeing if you can import a Clockwork Steed from 3.5. Refluff a little and, well, motorcycle. Or you can keep it thematically appropriate as a horse.

Regarding class... Aegis, from Dreamscarred Press. Admittedly, it's better suited for a Heisei Era Rider, but....

Or, if homebrew is an option, my Sentai class has slowly drifted from its namesake to closer to Riders. Should be simple enough to set up a Showa Rider with it.

Sorry about that, I seriously do not know, why I thought about one thing, and wrote another... Weird.

But I still think, that You created an awesome class, that captures all there is in tokusatsu.

That's a horrible horrible name for a class.
Sentai stands for "squad", as far as I know.

That's a cool thread, but I want to use it with Red Mantis Assassin. I mean, it's more of a Red Mantis Assassin with as much Kamen Rider flavor as possible. Not sure if I explained that right.

I know there is a feat in PF that allows me to have an animal companion in item form, I was considering using that.
I haven't checked your class, but I plan on making it stick close to Golarion, so I don't plan on using homebrew at all.

Thanks everyone for the help, but what I'm looking for here is basically a way to fix the MAD issues that would arise from a Monk/Red Mantis Assassin build.

That might help, thanks!

Really?! They have that in Eberron?! Do you have any links?!

Really?! They have that in Eberron?! Do you have any links?!It's possible to make one, but they're not mass-produced. In particular the ECS had some reference to people trying to downscale the lightning rail into a man-sized vehicle - it was incredibly fast, but no one was able to operate it for more than a few seconds without losing control and flying off the tracks.

I don't know much about Pathfinder, but if you can find a level 1 Artificer (or the Pathfinder equivalent) who can make you two pieces of metal that are enchanted with Create Water and Prestidigitation (to create heat), you can effectively make a steam engine with it's own soul-powered compact water heater. Enjoy your new steampunk motorcycle, as I did when I played an artificer.
