I originally put this blog post together for writers, but more and more I'm finding that homebrew STs could use some of the advice in it for character design. After all, a hero is only as good as his or her villains. If your villains aren't selling the story, then you don't have very believable bad guys. Here's a checklist with helpful hints for fixing your antagonists.
