A Strange Math Question Deserves a Strange Answer

I asked my Math instructor a question. What was 1+1. . . ? He said, as he pounded on the desk " One Point "NEIN NEIN NEIN NEIN NEIN NEIN NEIN NEIN NEIN NEIN NEIN NEIN NEIN NEIN NEIN NEIN NEIN!!!" Over and over again. He keeps repeating it. What am I supposed to do ? And why is he so angry?

0.99999... (infinite repeating nines) is equal to 1. (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/0.999...) Ergo, 2 and 1.99999... (infinite repeating nines) are also equal.

What you should do? You mean despite watching more movies?

It is indeed German as Nein is the word for no in German but sounds like the number 9 in english.
