Yes, thicker lines would be good. In Inkscape, to make lines thicker, you select an object, go up to the object menu, then click "stroke and fill". You want to go to stroke style within the new window, and it should be pretty obvious. Most people seem to set the width to 2.

Otherwise, looking good, though perhaps the eyes could be a bit more ovally-vertical, and different sizes.

Nice rapiers, by the way.

Thicker lines, for sure, and the eyes need to be a certain OotS style: Oval shaped with one bigger than the other.

Byt using what I think is MS Paint, you have very blocky lines. SVG programs, such as adobe illustraitor, create pixels of less color to blend the different items. This makes lines appear round. Otherwise, I would suggest that you work a little more on making curves. Straight lines aren't very popular in the OotS style.

EDIT: right click on object and select fill/stroke, OR elect object and press CTRL+SHIFT+F

He says he uses Inkscape... For some reason you seem to assume people use MS Paint... :smalltongue:

It's very good, but the resizing you used makes it pixelated. Also, please remember to read the forum rules, because stuff like this is called Thread Necromancy, and isn't allowed. It would be better to post it in Fanart Showcase for critisism, rather than post in a thread that's been dead for a year.

@^ If its the OP "reviving" then its not thread necromancy right?

Anyway, your female avatar looks good, preportions seem abit off but other than that your getting better.

I agree with Yeril about the proportions for the female avatar. The only problem with the other one is that the rapier looks a bit pixily in some of the pictures. Apart from that, they are really good for a first attempt.

thanks I messed up when making the avatar by making it to big so it didn't quite work out

I just resized with the gimp it looks so much better

I hope to have another one done shortly
