Chances are my players will soon be involved in a conflict too large for traditional D&D combat rules. After doing some research I found that Slavelords of Cydonia (http://www.badaxegames.com/products/slavelords-of-cydonia/) from Badaxe games seems to have a pretty streamlined, well put-together mass combat system. The trouble is I'm really only after the mass combat rules and would rather not pay $35 for book that probably won't see much use. Back in 2005 they used to sell a 10 page PDF of just the mass combat rules for two bucks but it's no longer available.
I'm not too optimistic about my chances of finding this PDF but I figured I'd ask the playground before I gave up completely.
