Quick question pertaining to the Arcane Caster

Hi, everybody.

So: A fell animated spell uses up a spell slot three levels higher than the spell's actual level. If I was a level two Dread Necromancer, what would happen? Would it work, or would I just use something I can't use anyways?

You need to be able to expend a spell slot of the level for the spell plus all metamagic modifiers. If you do not have such a spell slot, you cannot prepare or cast the spell with those metamagic feats.
