its only a stick figure comic, but i often marvel on the attention in the detail that the giant puts in this comic. Not only the detail on the characters persona and their histories, but how much attention in the detail he puts into it.

The most recent detail i found amusing was Elan's wound in #930, where we can see Tarquin pulling his bloodied shirt and a similar wound is shown in his skin. One would normally expect only one of these to show up.

to rich,
I congratulate you, mr. burlew, for this much level of attention that you place on your art.

to the forum,
What other minor details have amused you in the comic in these past 10 years ?

You'll find some great ones here (http://www.giantitp.com/forums/showthread.php?t=261108)!

In 930, with the Mechane being in the distance yet the low-angle setting sun still making its shadow go all the way over to the battle. That really jumped out at me as a great detail.

And then, in panel 5, the wound is gone! And then it reappears in the last panel! Congratulations!

Ah, these things happen. Nice catch, OP.

And yet in #229 (http://www.giantitp.com/comics/oots0229.html), it is explicitly stated that there are no shadows, because it's a stick figure comic. :)

I don't really mind, as shadows or not, Durkon won't be in any "direct sunlight" if a giant airship is blocking off his line of sight to the sun.

But it's a rare occasion that you get to good-naturedly needle this author with his own words, especially twice in the same arc (the other being the oversight of Durkon using Detect Magic despite not having it prepared).

Shadows only occur when it's dramatically relevant.

And there've been a few other shadows in the strip. Besides that one and the current strip (930), there was one in 380 (http://www.giantitp.com/comics/oots0388.html) and one in 882 (http://www.giantitp.com/comics/oots0882.html).

Isn't this kind of the same thing as this thread (http://www.giantitp.com/forums/showthread.php?t=261108&page=35)?
