So I've been searching around and couldn't really find anything in-depth on the topic so I figured I'd ask here. A lot of you seem to really know your stuff.

Pathfinder only: what tips, tricks, traits, feats, class/archetype abilities can be loaded onto a halfling with the Blundering Defense (http://www.d20pfsrd.com/feats/arg-feats/blundering-defense-combat-halfling) racial feat, to max out the bonus you grant to your adjacent allies?
AKA: Optimizing the dodge bonus to AC from fighting defensively.

Here's what I've come up with:
(normal fighting defensively) -4 to hit, +2 AC
Cautious Fighter (http://www.d20pfsrd.com/feats/arg-feats/cautious-fighter-combat-halfling) (required) brings it to -4 to hit for +4 AC
Crane Style (http://www.d20pfsrd.com/feats/combat-feats/crane-style-combat-style) (the most obvious addition) -2 to hit, +5 AC
3 ranks in Acrobatics (because why not) -2 to hit, +6 AC

Now some people would stop here, or pick up the other crane style feats for some really impressive defense and some offense mixed in
Crane Wing and Crane Riposte dropping the penalty down to -1 to hit for the same +6 AC, deflect one attack/round and get an AoO when you do. Need a hand free. Fun stuff. But we can do more. We can blunder further!

I believe the Active Defense ability of the Shielded Fighter (http://www.d20pfsrd.com/classes/core-classes/fighter/archetypes/paizo---fighter-archetypes/shielded-fighter) could qualify as well, adding another 1 to 5 to the AC bonus and giving the ability to grant adjacent allies a similar stacking bonus. So, potentially fighting defensively -1 to hit for +11 AC. I'm not sure if using a buckler would count as a free hand for Crane Wing. I'd be more tempted to go with an Improved Unarmed Strike (you'd have it anyway) and (mostly) shield bash fighting style - Captain America, halfling edition!

Alternately the Duelist's (http://www.d20pfsrd.com/classes/prestige-classes/core-rulebook/duelist) Elaborate Defense can add another 2 or 3. I say "alternately" but I guess you could combine the two. You lose a lot of duelist features using a shield, though. If you have three hands ... you know, nevermind. Still, technically this could bring the dodge bonus for fighting defensively up to 12 at 20th level, with 11 levels of Shielded Fighter and 9 levels of Duelist. Please don't do this, anyone, at all, ever. It's an extra 1 to your adjacent allies' AC and CMD, but ... no. Maybe if you had a generous GM let you use a spiked shield and not lose half the duelist's abilities. Maybe.

So, what else is out there that might help? I've poked through a sizable chunk of the pfsrd but I don't have it all in my brain. I've done some googling and looked at likely suspects, but if anyone happens to know something else to modify fighting defensively in Pathfinder, or if you think I've done something wrong already, please speak up! :)

I did not know about this feat and will likely be making a halfling duelist to take advantage of it.

Looking at it, I think RAW you could use Combat Expertise with it as well: "Whenever you fight defensively or use the total defense action, allies gain a luck bonus to AC and CMD equal to 1/2 the dodge bonus you gain from the action you are taking." You can use Combat Expertise on the same action, thus, you give allies 1/2 the dodge bonus from that as well.

Any other ability that grants you a dodge bonus on that same action (i.e. standard action attacking or full-attacking) should also work, I think, though I'm blanking on others at the moment.

EDIT: Swordlord (http://www.d20pfsrd.com/classes/core-classes/fighter/archetypes/paizo---fighter-archetypes/aldori-swordlord-brevoy) fighter archetype at seventh level both reduces the fighting defensively penalty and increases the dodge AC bonus by 2, but only on full-attack actions with a dueling sword.
