View Full Version : Is magebred animal worth it if it applies another -3 to the druid effective level?

I've got a new character in the making. Level 8 druid. Dragonborn/Arctic/Anthro Bat.

Greenbound Summoning, Natural Bond, Summon Elemental, Ashbound Summoning, Natural Spell.

I am allowed to use Magebred, but if I do have to apply -3 to my druid effective level.

I could have a Warbeast/Magebred Flesh raker as a result. I'm only one level away from getting multiattack from normal progressions, and I want to use Venomfire as well, an asap.

Thoughts?

What about 1 level of beastmaster?

Should have been a focused animal or totem druid, wouldn't run into the issue. Beastmaster works, but it is also a caster level loss. Granted that only puts you down to sorcerer progression, but does it fit your character? How focused are you on your pet?
