I might be running a 3.5 group soon but I have two problems: I'm poor and stupid. If I weren't poor I could go out and buy some adventures to train myself as a DM, and if I weren't stupid, I could make balanced, logical, and fun adventures on my own. But one asset that I have is being able to beg pretty effectively. So I'm asking for help here.

So I want to know if anyone has or knows any adventures floating about in the public consciousness that I could use until I get over at least one of my problems. I found it pretty easy to imagine people making fun adventures and wanting to share their works with as many people as possible. I don't know if they're preserved in formats that are easy to read to someone who didn't think them up, but some people can get pretty serious about their creations so I believed it was worth a shot to ask.

DISCLAIMER: I do not want anyone to pirate works that are commercially available for me. If what I am doing in any way constitutes any violation of intellectual property laws, I'm counting on the mods to punch me in the throat. I don't want to rip off any proceeds that may go to people who actually have jobs playing and designing tabletop games as I one day hope to live the dream. Furthermore, I keep hearing whining about how the professionals suck. So don't xerox a crisp new adventure and send it to me. If you want to maybe mail me some adventure, maybe something can be worked out if the law will allow it. I don't want DRM in DND.

Thank you, cheesecake-fairy! May no one ever question why you blush when people look at your long-standing nudity! I had no idea these existed. I would have looked for it on my own, except for the fact that 'free download' in a search almost invariably leads to viruses.

Woah, a tailor made adventure? Oh man, elves, and dwarfs- that is generous! As much as I would love to take you up on it, I don't know my party yet, so not even I know where we may be going. I'm going to pester my players for their ideas so I don't pass up your magnanimous offer. :D Wow, I AM good at begging! If I can find a ukulele and a hat, I can make money!

This is indeed very generous of you.

Is this, perhaps, a more general offer? Because I've been smiting my forehead trying to find a good mini-adventure adapted to a particular situation. "Custom-made one-shot adventure" is exactly what I could use right now.

Sure, its open to just about anybody who asks, just give me an outline of what you want a couple of specifics ( IE. you want the boss to be a half fiend shambling mound with a general plant theme) and if youre concerned about it being too difficult party composition.

and I will do my best.

I am an old fashioned DM though, so there might be soem 'combat' enctouenr where the players are supposed to find a non-violent solution and of course in general they are going to need to use their wiles.

Paizo has released several (http://paizo.com/pathfinder/modules/freeRPGDay) free adventures for Free RPG day. In general, they're one-shots 4-5 hours in length.

I actually have a problem. All the links on rpggeek for downloading a dark and stormy knight are dead. Even signed in, I can't read more than a blurred cover page.

We just finished running Terror and Blasphemy. I think it's one of four free adventures so there's probably something there for you.

The Internet Archive still has a copy from the Wizards.com site.
