New Race Question

It's really a variant, im my homebrew every x,xxxx people in the nomadic tribes is an innate shapeshifter. But only into their tribes totem animal. I was thinking if i used the rules for the PHBII Druid shapeshifting for their first slayer form which they get at level 1 and made the race a +1 it might balance. Thoughts?

There is a Shapechanger subtype, which includes the Change Shape supernatural ability. Make sure it's Wild Shape you're looking for and not Change Shape (Su), cuz they're quite different.
