Is this combination, as beautiful to play as it seems it would be?

Warpriest is overally pretty yucky, and going into it with Druid means you're losing lots of Druid benefits. Anything in particular you want to get out of it?

How are you even getting the turn/rebuke undead necessary to gain entry? Also, there's a lost caster level at first. Also also, the abilities don't seem all that great. Also, but on a tertiary scale, as Urpriest notes, you're not advancing wild shape or the animal companion. So, I've gotta say that this seems pretty bad.

There are rare exceptions, but in general, the best prestige class for Druid is More Druid.

Wait, WHICH Warpriest? One just came out in a playtest today from Paizo.

Oh, sorry guys, I was being a bit noobish. In NWN2 a druid had the ability to become a warpriest and I just took it and ran with it. It's actually really decent in that game. I will leave now *lowers head in shame*

There are a lot of prestige classes that the druid is able to take. It doesn't change the fact that they're usually better off staying in druid.

Indeed. It's basically just planar shepherd, moonspeaker, and lion of talisid as the list of worthwhile druid PrC's. Arcane hierophant and master of many forms also make for good specialist options, though they're worse than going straight druid.

NWN2 has a lot of options that work really well in that context and with that system, but don't work well in normal D&D. It's a really interesting optimization environment in its own right, but as you're starting to discover not everything carries over well. :smallwink:
