Hi eveyone,

I'm making a wizard for levels 6-11 and I'm thinking of going human Wizard 5/ Divine oracle 2/ Loremaster 4. I like the Domain wizard ACF from UA (especially the conjuration domain) but I'm not sure how this interacts with the Divine Oracle Domain granted. Is it like a cleric where I'd choose between the two domains or are they seperate in the sense that I can cast all of both domain spells?

The confusion for me is does the bonus spells granted by Domain Wizard act more like a cleric domain or a specialist wizards bonus spells from a select list rather than a school of magic.

I suspect it's more like a cleric domain (it's in the name) but I'd like to see if the playground had any insight, I can always specialise instead of going domain wizard if I have to.

I'd say it acts more like a cleric domain as the wizard's chosen domain only gives them one single spell to fill that domain with.

I don't know that the divine oracle class was designed with the domain wizard in mind as I suspect it is meant to add the spells in that domain to the wizard's spell list, but by RAW it seems to indicate you can fill your domain slots with spells from that domain. In effect you are becoming more like a cleric with their two domains and only one slot per spell level to fill with spells from either.

Domain Wizard's domain is completely independent of Cleric domains.

CDiv has rules for what happens when a non-Cleric gets a domain. IIRC you can learn the spells but you still have to pay to scribe them as normal.
