Something OotS is Good At

Something The Order of the Stick seems to be very good at is ending each installment on a genuinely gripping note. In the beginning, most installments seemed to end with a joke. Now, they all seem to end with some cliffhanger or shocking moment that leaves me thinking about the comic and eager for it to be continued.

The Giant can almost always be relied on to come up with something genuinely gripping. I appreciate this.

While I agree in general, this is also something that we've seen several times before as the plot arc rushes to the conclusion. It wasn't all that long ago, after all, that the entire comic led up to, well, I'll let Elan cover it (http://www.giantitp.com/comics/oots0845.html).
