"Hmm...I haven't heard a lot about that situation, I've been...otherwise engaged. Why is she leaving?"

Gwen comes in and sits at the bar, she orders her usual hot chocolate.

[The_Librarian]

"Hey Gwen." She turns to Alex. "She came to the town to bring Jadic to justice which, well, I suppose has been achieved on some level." Something in her tone betrays her great hate of Jadic. "But now that her mission is done, she must return to those who sent her and report."

Hi, Libris, she stirs in the dark chocolate chips and sips her hot chocolate.

[InaVegt]

The tavern is no bathed in purple light originating from the anthropomrphic toad sleeping in the air.

[Alex Shipmaster]

Alex nods hello to Gwen, then turns back to Libris "Ah, I see. Do you think that when Aeri delivers this report and is done she might come back?"

Hello Alex, Gwen sips her hot chocolate and watches the other patrons.

[The_Librarian]

"I hope so," the librarian says. "Though I haven't known her very long... well, it's rather like how the friendship between myself and your father started out. Always during times of conflict, never in peace." She grins. "There's a certain excitement to it."

"And how's our beloved mayor today?"

Tired, wishing I was still in bed sleeping, but the call of chocolate never fails.

[Alex Shipmaster]

Alex chuckles "Aye, he's told me about that Libris."

Darnin notices a purple toad, then eats some more.

Drake catches sight of Gwen, and stops as if stunned. He recovers quickly and takes a sip of his drink, but he can barey take his eyes off her.

"Tired I can sympathise with, but it's good to see you alive and well," she says to Gwen.

Yes, alive is always good, makes it easier to enjoy the taste of chocolate. Gwen notices Drake's interesting reaction, but keeps her attention on her hot chocolate.

[The_Librarian]

The librarian turns back to Alex.

"So, should I ask about the beautiful winged girl you've been seen with lately?" she asks, smiling.

[Alex Shipmaster]

Alex nods at Gwen "Yeah, choclate is good...oh, what's the weather like outside Gwen?" he then turns to Libris and blushes ever so slightly "Yeah...she's called Alena...and well..." he shrugs and smiles

Gwen smiles, The weather is very nice today, some cirrus clouds at 25,000ft and the high temperature for today is a warm 35F.

[The_Librarian]

The librarian grins.

""and well" indeed," she says. "It's good to see you looking so happy."

Fenix comes into the tavern, his flaming wings drifting behind him as he walks over to the bar. He is smiling and wearing a suit of layered red leather.

Alex grins back at Libris "Thanks...it'll feels good to be this way." he then looks at Gwen "That's good, very good indeed...thanks"

Drake smiles slowly as he continues to watch Gwen, a strange light flickering in his eyes. Then he grimaces and closes his eyes hard, turning away from her resolutely.

A white anthropomorphic mouse the size of a kender wearing a kimono and holding a blue ice falchion enters the tavern.

I really need to know more about this town, If I want to be able to protect myself from people who'd wish me harm.

She says to noone in particular.

Fenix chuckles and gets a fireamber, leaning against the bar as he turns to look at Gwen's table.

The librarian turns to the mouse.

"What's there to say about this town? All sorts are welcome, the good and the evil. One can generally stay alive by keeping one's head down, but if a fight is what you're after, you're sure to find one here. The local police may assist you if someone has broken the law, while there are many bounty hunters and adventurers who may help you regardless."

Michael walks in and looks around. He waves to Libris before taking a seat at the bar and ordering a cup of tea

Regiji steps into Trog's humming his usual tune and wearing his usual grin and clad in his usual light blue tunic.

He spots Fenix (hard to miss someone with flaming wings after all) and gives him a friendly wave. He also notes the new purple lighting, though he's not sure how much he likes it.

Regiji takes a seat at the bar and orders a hot chocolate. Unlike the mayor he doesn't magically stir any chocolate chips into it.

[The_Librarian]

"'Evening, Michael. How are you?" the librarian asks, leaving the bar and bringing her glass to his table.

I'm more interested in the strategic lay out of this town, I'm afraid someone's wishing me harm and in that case I'd need to defend myself. Seeing as I have no single copper piece to hire someone to protect me and the police most likely won't protect someone without clear proof of the nessecity.

Fenix waves to Regiji and grins at Gwen.
Dios's plane is a bit... odd. I might have spent a day there and come back hundreds of years later.

"I'm sorry I couldn't help you then," the librarian says to the mouse. "But I wish you luck."

Michael smiles and sips his tea "I'm doing fine. I got a small job down at the docks so I can gather a few coins. It's not much, but I won't need much."

A bump sounds against the wall.

Kyrian wakes up as Aramir runs into the tavern and behind the bar.

Well, at first it was quite miserable...
Fenix winces.
Vael really did destroy it. It was a wasteland. Dios restored it though, and now... its a beautiful place. There's nothing quite like it.

[The_Librarian]

Michael smiles and sips his tea "I'm doing fine. I got a small job down at the docks so I can gather a few coins. It's not much, but I won't need much."

"And it's not that bad in the slums, is it?" the librarian says, brightening. "Besides, when there's just me and the wolves, I don't need that much either."

The mouse just sits in the air next to Libris and thinks.

He sighs "Well, actually I don't intend to go back to my house in the slums. Right now I'm staying temporarily at the temple."

[The_Librarian]

"Good evening..." she takes a guess. "Kyrian? Not Conrad?" She turns back to Michael. "The foxes are very kind - they've made a real impact on the town, and for the better. Like an anti-mafia, I suppose," she adds thoughtfully.

[Kyrian]

Yea...I really should tell him to dye his hair or something...for difference.

Rain pads in slowly and climbs the cat tree.

[The_Librarian]

"Blond looks good," the librarian says. "But a badge would be helpful. "Hello, my name is Conrad" sort of thing."

Fenix shrugs and sips his wine.

The mouse turns to libris.

What drinks on the meny are nonalcoholic and good?

[Deadly]

He smiles a bit and nods "They've been very nice so far. But I can't stay there forever. I need to find someplace else, and to be honest..." he looks at his tea "After all that's happened here, I would like to get away a bit."

[Kyrian]

Kyrian gives a small chuckle at Libris' comments, though it seems hollow. He gets up and takes a seat beside Gwen

Aramir's tail whips about as he silently stays in the shadows.

[The_Librarian]

"Llamonade if you want a cold drink, and the hot chocolate here is wonderful," she says to the mouse. She turns to Michael.

"No, I can't say that I blame you there." Finally, she watches Kyrian and the trace of concern crosses her face.

Sorry Fenix, Sounds like an interesting place.

Rain twitches her tail invitingly.

You hear a faint scream.

[Kyrian]

Kyrian gives Gwen a smile as he hopes Libris doesn't come question him about his mood.

Aramir darts out from behind the bar, and under a table.

Michael just nods and sips his tea while thinking

Regiji hears the cry from outside, sighs, then finishes off his mug of hot chocolate.

"I'll be right back..." he then proceeds to cease being in the tavern.

The mouse floats towards the bar, orders a hot chocolate and returns to libris and michael, while still floating.

Are there any other martial adepts here, or am I the only one. I have no idea what kind of people live on this plane.

Rain's tail continues to twitch.

Gwen sighs and finishes her hot chocolate.

Aramir quickly runs across the room and up the cat tree, where he playfully attacks Rain.

Kyrian turns and looks at Libris. Define alright....

Alex raises his eyebrow at Gwen "You ok there Mayor?"

[Blood]

The man steps through a spontaneously materializing shimmering rift, and sits down at the bar. He looks at the menu again, and when he sees the Level-Up Liquer, his blue eyes glow for a moment, and he orders one.

He sips his drink slowly, listening in on others' conversations.



Blood continues to sleep.

Fenix finishes his fireamber.

I'm tired, maybe I should go home and go back to bed. There's a warm furry dog waiting for me.

Rain rolls over and lightly swats him.

The illithid reenters the bar. He walks up to the bar and sits down at a stool.

Cosmo, another Mindflayer Mead my good thrall.

How did you know my name?

The illithid's eyes flash bright blue after Cosmo says this.

You will get me my drink.

Cosmo walks back and starts to mix the drink, muttering about heckling customers and how he needs to take Bernice to daycare.

Aramir quickly runs across the room and up the cat tree, where he playfully attacks Rain.

Kyrian turns and looks at Libris. Define alright....

The librarian starts counting off on her fingers.
"-You're alive
-in good health
-you have loved ones and are loved by them
-they're alive and in good health too
-your finances are rosy
-your future looks promising... anything I've missed?" She looks around at Gwen's comment, and looks dismayed as she suspects she knows why the mayor is down.

Fenix smiles happily at nothing and falls asleep on the bar.

Yes, Barnabas, he's warm, he's furry, he's a dog, the only bad thing is that he doesn't always use the brains he was given.

A god, Bishamon, was trying to take over one of my nephew's life. I told him to leave him alone, and in doing so, I apparently have declared war against him.

Alex laughs "Ah, I'd forgotten about him, haven't seen Barnabus in a while. How is he?"

[The_Librarian]

"But... you're a god. You can take him, right?"
In fact, it's been proven.

[Kyrian]

Maybe...but he's calling in others...

[The_Librarian]

"Other gods?" The librarian sips her drink. "Hmmm. There are a great many evil gods to be sure, but I still have faith in you. But you don't seem yourself. Usually before a big fight, your concern is for your allies - you don't doubt what you do. So what's different now?"

Barnabas is still silly, his fur grew back quite a while back (from the nudefest shaving) If I let him he'd do all kinds of silly things.

[Kyrian]

Bishamon's not an evil god. And I know two that stand with him already....

Kyrian looks down, as if there's something he has to say, but is trying to find a way to lie.

[Deadly]

Michael orders a sandwich and eats it while drifting away in his own thoughts.

Alex chuckles at what Gwen said "I bet, from what I've seen of him before."

Well, I need to be going, see everyone later. Gwen stands and leaves

Rain stays on the cat tree with Aramir.

The librarian sighs and gets to her feet.

"I'm sorry Kyrian. You're not the first recently who has decided they can not be straight with me. I just hope it goes better for you than it did for her." She walks out of the tavern.

Alex nods "Bye Gwen and Libris"

[Kyrian]

Kyrian slams a fist into the bar and sighs.

Michael finishes his tea and leaves

Alex narrows his eyes slightly at Kyrian "There is something you can do"

The illithid sips his Mindflayer Mead.

"If you don't feel up to the pressures and responsibilities of being a God can you always shocking give it up. Now shocking pull yourself together."

Kyrian looks over at his nephew. When did you and Mhina get so much smarter than me? he asks with a grin.

Alex gives a small smile "I get my brains from my father."

Kyrian nods with a smile. He seems to be looking into the past as he looks off into the distance

Alex shrugs at Kyrian "Meh, times change. Getting it back might be possible but it'll be tricky"

The illithid sighs and starts sifting through the brains of the other tavern-goers while simultaneously playing with his garrote, whistling, and tossing his dagger into the air.

Yea...first we'll have to kill all the new people...then we'd have to design a test to see if someone is smart enough to exist here...

Kyrian grins.

The illithid gets up off of the stool and heads out the door.

Aramir bites down playfully and tries to speak, but can't due to her neck in his mouth.

He stops and sits down at a table, leaning to listen in on the ongoing conversation.

Earin shrugs and waves over Cosmo, getting a funky llama from him.

Kyrian wonders what he could possibly do today.

Aramir purrs and moves so that Rain can groom easier.

Deadly appears in a swirl of smoke and black flames. He takes a seat at the bar and waves over Cosmo with a paw A glass of wine, please.

Aramir purrs louder.

Earin nods to Deadly and sips his wine.

Alex smiles at Alena "Shall we go?"

Deadly smiles and nods back. He thinks for a moment, then leans back in his chair and sips his wine.

Earin leans back against the bar and watches everyone.

The walrus man enters the bar, sits down near the bar and orders walrus milk.

Rain slowly finishes and puts her head on his shoulder, purring.

Deadly looks out the window at the golems and raises an eyebrow. He shrugs and returns to his wine.

"Hello all!" Sings the walrus, quite happy, "Would anybody like to help me with my Walrus Liberation Front?"

[Kyrian]

Aramir turns his head so he can look Rain in the eye.

[Kyrian]

Earin vanishes.

"Has anyone seen Fenix?"

The mindflayer walks in and is surprised to see another mindflayer sitting in the corner. He walks over to it.

Incomprehensible motions seem to radiate from the two as they appear to be in deep conversation with one another.

Regiji returns to his seat at the bar. He ponders whether or not to strike up a conversation with some random patron he hasn't met before.

{cat} Good, Rain cuddles up to him and watches everyone down below.

Aramir cuddles close to Rain, knowing that she knows how much he loves her. He gives a small content sigh as he watches over the tavern.

[Flabbicus]

The other, purple mindflayer gets up and leaves and the overlaying psionic feelings disperse.

Flabbicus moves back to his former seat at the bar.

[Altharis]

"Greetings, Squildly Walktapus, Would like some free brains?" Says the walrus man "Not my brains, but other brains. All the brains you can eat, in fact!"

[Vespe Ratavo]

Vespe teleports in in a flash of purple light. "Free brains? Where did you aquire these brains? Can I have some?"

[Flabbicus]

The illithid scratches its head in confusion.

What? My name is Flabbicus, not Squildly Waltapus. Nah, I'm good, I just ate... twice in fact.

Nightstar wanders in from the outside and strolls up to the bar. She spots Regiji and remembers him from her first visit to the bar. Curious, she decides to ask him a question.

"Hi, I was just wondering, what was that tentacle thing that destroyed my drink ?

Aramir licks Rain's ears as they continue to watch.

"Lawyer killing? Brains? Walrii! Count me in! But, there is one thing."

Destro wanders into the tavern and heads over to the bar, where he orders a fireamber. Hello everyone.

"Hey destro!" Says the walrus. "Yes elf, what is it?" Then turning to the illithid. "They're gonna give you free brains, that's what!"

"Come on flabbicus, we get to kill lawyers!" "I am intrigued by your offer due to the fact that I require brains for my spell research.

Meh, I remain unconvinced.

( AFK for dinner, he'll just be listening to Altharis' thoughts silently while thinking it over)

Regiji regards the conversation about free brains quizzically. He's about to say something profound when the probe comes zipping into the tavern.

"I found a shiny coin on the ground!" it sounds as though it could burst with joy at any moment. "And a dead rat and an old horse shoe and a paper clip and a broken wand and some snail eggs and a horse pat and..." this continues for a while until Regiji holds up a hand to silence it.

"I told you to watch the balor."

"But... they took him to jail," the probe complains. "And they don't let me sing there!"

"Fine," Regiji says with a sigh. "I need you to find everything in the tavern. Everything. No using the sweeper either. And no one can see you do it. This is a secret ninja mission."

"Yay! Secret mission!"

The probe shimmers out of view and begins scouring the tavern for random odds and ins.

"Hey destro, I'd like to thank you."

((His thoughts are sad and happy at the same time, with scenes of imprisoned walri being liberated by you and vespe. He is the exiled king of walrusopia))

Destro grins when the probe comes in. He says, just loud enough for the probe to hear, You know, he didn't say you couldn't be heard, just that you couldn't be seen. He then sips his fireamber. Ok. It was no problem, really. This last is directed at the walrus.

Hawk kicks the door open and takes a seat at the nearest unoccupied table, ordering an archon ale angrily.

In all likelihood it carries with it an Rage effect that requires a DC 40 Will save to shrug off. It's just that annoying.

"I'm going to go give the near omnipotent wizards their brownies," Regiji states as he stands. He shoots his Fort: 60 or dies gaze attack at Destro. Fortunately for the Lich undead are immune to death effects.

Regiji stalks out of the tavern shaking his head.

Deadly sips the last of his wine, hops down from his chair and rips open a portal to the abyss. He jumps through and the portal closes behind him with a tortured scream

The door to the back room opens and smoke roils out onto the floor from the blackness beyond. Then suddenly two eyes, orange like smoldering coals ignite in the swirling darkness. They come closer, preparing to leave the darkness enshouded room and enter the tavern.

I'm just going to go somewhere first, I listened in on some people's thoughts and apparently there is a shop that you can buy anything at. There's something I need to get.

With that he hops off of the bar stool and exits through the front door.

Destro, at this point, is laughing so hard that he would have suffocated by now if he actually had to breathe. You have *gasp* *burst of laughter* to admit that *gasp* it was This is followed by even more laughing, after which Destro has time to say very funny before falling off his chair from laughing too hard.

"Alright! Mal, Salty, and flabbicus follow me to the airship. Nightstar, here's a magic item that should teleport you to where you can assasinate Blarney! Destro, if you see Fenix, tell him to use this teleport key." Altharis walks out of the tavern followed by 22,001 golems and a nimblewright.

I can easily make more so please to not hesitate to use it."

The still hiding probe begins examining the smoldering coal-like eyes. Incidentally it's still singing, much to the displeasure of anyone within earshot.

The burning eyes come closer and a demon-like form enshouded in a dark cloud enters the tavern. It turns its head this way and that, it's eyes smoldering. There is a flash of flame from its hand and something it holds in it's other hand ignites. There is the sound of inhaled breath - deep and powerful...

Aramir licks Rain's cheek and nips her ear.

Destro manages to stop laughing long enough to grin at Rain. He points to Hawk. Him. In a dress. He then bursts into laughter again.

Hawk draws his swords and points one at Destro, his whole body shaking from anger.

The creature stalks behind the bar and continues to emenate smoke. It lifts a burning brand to its lips and the burning end seems to flare up and a cloud of smoke is puffed out into the tavern. A deep voice that sounds like James Earl Jones if he had started smoking at the age of 3 rasps out.

So. How's everyone doing tonight?

Clovis waves away the smoke around him.

That's why... More laughter ensues as Destro tries unsuccessfully to bring himself under control. That's why it's... so... funny...
