I know it may have been discussed before, but is there any worthwhile way to build a functional cleric/bard multiclass character? For info sake it will be roughly 6th level, and the deity is Moradin. All 3.5 books are available. Any help you can provide will be appreciated.

Well there are ways to do it, but it's not easy for Moradin

There is a feat from Champions of Valor, Initiate of Milil which allows you to add your Cleric Levels to your Bard levels to see which kinds of music you have access to. And then there is the feat Sacred Performer which allows you to add your Bard and Cleric levels together for turn undead and the number of Bardic Musics a day.

Problem is, Initate of Milil requires you to have Milil as your patron deity (you could ask your DM to skip this requirement) and Sacred Performer comes from Dragon Magazine #357 so might not be allowed.

Sacred Performer, I can make work. My DM said he'd allow Dragon Magazine supplements. Initiate of Milil though, he said no to, as well as any homebrewed stuff. That would be a no to Chorister as well then. Any other ireas?:smalleek:

Combine Divine Bard (http://www.d20srd.org/srd/variant/classes/variantCharacterClasses.htm#bardVariantDivineBard) with Prestige Bard (http://www.d20srd.org/srd/variant/classes/prestigiousCharacterClasses.htm#prestigeBard)?

How does divine bard affect bardic knowledge then? Does wis just cease being a dump stat, or do all cha based bard features transition to wis based?

To learn or cast a spell, a divine bard must have a Wisdom score (not Charisma score) equal to at least 10 + the spell level. All other Spellcasting factors, including bonus spells and save DCs, are still determined using the divine bard's Charisma score.
Bardic knowledge is int based anyway and there's nothing suggesting that changes.

I was thinking fochlucan lyrist but that looks more like druid/bard/rogue or druid/bard/monk. Sorry, I got nothing.

Aside from previously mentioned suggestions:

Apply the divine bard variant to the prestige bard and enter via cleric.

Become a Cantor (DMG 175). It is a divine bard that draws all of their spells from the cleric spell list. If turning/rebuking aren't that important to you, I feel this may the best route.

If casting is your focus, theurgy is always an option.
