Race Points and point buy - Pathfinder

Heya,

Question about the featured races. We have a player in our campaign who wants to play an Oread, which everyone is fine with, but he seems to think that the 6RP cost means he gets 6 less points during point buy.

I haven't found anything to support this. Am I missing something?

You're not missing anything: The amount of RP your race costs doesn't deduct from the points you spend on your stats at character creation.

Race Points are for building new races for your campaign. You should stay within the other races' powers.
