Help Needed With Inkscape Exporting

Ok, I've looked through the Guide and can't find this any where. I've drawn out some pages for a comic i'm doing and I'm exporting them as bitmaps to put them into other programs (for some reason my printer doesn't like inkscape). The problem I'm having is that the pages are being exported too small and so are fuzzy when I enlarge them to fit the page. The same thing happens with avatars I make. What is the "correct" method of doing this?

EDIT: The real problem I'm having is that I'll have a page on Inkscape set on "Landscape" but the printer will still print it as if it was on "Portrait" with the comic sideways (cut off on the page) but the page longways. Is there a way to fix this?

Inkscape's printing functions have never been the best. If I were you, I'd export the bitmap, open it up in a document program like OpenOffice Draw or Microsoft Word, and print it from there.
