Hey all!

I am doing a 7 deadly sins Campaign.

So I am doing my adventures go to towns and find one of the Sins have come to the land.

For Wrath I am going to have a man that was given the power to take down his foes in a swing.

a Berserker!

But my problem is I want to have a minor deity or god them selfs that promises things that are not what they appear.

so for the 'serker he is bloodlusted and strong and starts killing the town that his wife and child died in due to a wrong deed that happend.

So this deity brings him his power and whisper words of poison in his ear.

So ya.

What god would do that?

I had Meeric God of Illusions, Shadow, Thieves, Tricks. Do it but does it seem in his ball park?

So whatcha think

Maybe have the god involved have something related to murder or slaughter, because I think a trickster god wouldn't necessary want a ton of death, just some laughs and confusion.

It depends partially on your setting for sure, but a God of Madness (Wrath) would make sense here as well, Cyric is a good example. As the previous post said, just a thought. You can of course also create your own deity to fit your needs (perhaps a blend of madness and death).

Garagos the Reaver from Forgotten Realms may be just what your looking for.

Even good ol' fashioned Erythnul from Greyhawk could fit, actually.
