Without further interference, it's two months for us: we kept the fox timeline rather than the humanoid one. If it wasn't for us being naturally magical creatures to begin with, they'd starve. But even so they'll all be really, really hungry.

One of the day shift priests shakes her head

No, sir. The sour disposition will pass by the end of next week.

Dareln shakes his head and sighs, but smiles. "I'm afraid not. I was struck blind just before I was connected to Daerbain, but when we were fused, I was given sight - I had hoped that the problem would have disappeared if I was ever seperated from Daerbain, though."

The healer tilts his head

It may be of some value to know exactly how you were struck blind, sir.

The day shift priestess looks amused

If you are truly seeking to sleep on a sofa for the next year, you could do that. Otherwise I highly recommend willow-bark tea and patience. As I said: the worst will pass by the end of next week.

Kazuki just shrugs, as a separate room didn't seem like such a bad idea to him.

"I'm not exactly sure, myself...I believe Thenatori kept referring to it as 'the will of the gods'. He said that he would have a way to cure me of my blindness, and then, connected me to Daerbain."

That does not sound hopeful. Perhaps you could take to wearing an item that provides magical sight?

Dareln shakes his head. "Tried several of them after I was struck blind. I'm not sure anything would work at this point."

It sounds like the appearance of your eyes is mostly cosmetic, then: the real damage was to the vision center of your brain. There are psionic items that can replace that entirely, particularly the ones that grant sight in manners that your brain is not equipped to handle such as all-around-vision.

That is most unfortunate then, sir. Is there anything else we can do for you?

Yes, sir: there are several. Trog's Tavern has an upper story, although it is a trifle expensive. The Slanty Shanty down by the docks is more reasonable and much quieter. And then there's... oh... I fear The Sleeping Elf has gone out of business.

An evershifting mess of shadow with blood red eyes enters the sanctuary.

The healer rummages around in several cabinets before finally procuring a bamboo cane with a maple knob on top to prevent splinters and an iron knob on the bottom to handle the weight.

The mess of shadow seems in pain.

He smiles. "Thank you." He takes the cane and weighs it in his hand for a moment, then whispers something. He slowly, hesitantly takes a step towards the door, then another.

Kazuki gasps in surprise and quickly plants an anti-magic shell around the unfortunate fox.

The shadow quickly is reformed to Voxendi's natural form, he looks relieved.

Dareln makes it to the door, still using the cane, and leaves the Temple.

Exachix wakes up in his room, and looks over at Krystal.

Exachix sees that Krystal is not there.

*a startled bleat comes from where the llama was sleeping. He leaps to his feet as he awakens to werefox kits staring at him, grinning mischievously. The startled bleat is followed shortly by an embarrassed one as he sees he just fell asleep too close to the pillows Destro made. With a laugh at himself and a vow of chompibitty vengence to the troutmancer, he looks around the temple and waves to all he sees.*

Exachix hmms quietly to himself, before getting up and dresses, he heads into the santuary, and sits in a chair.

"It's ok, do you know where krystal has headed off too? and How are you?"

Catherine wakes up in the travelers quarters and quickly gets up and ready for the day. She calms herself, wondering how long that calm will last, and then goes out into the sanctuary.

Kazuki waves to Catherine (although he doesn't know her name)

He turns to Exachix

She went to Trog's for bamhacon. I think she's still trying to get Valathe fixed up, too. They thought Hoseki might be able to help.

Kazuki grins at Atreyu

Things like that have been known to happen.

Catherine decides that she is too hungry to stop and freak out over the talking llama, so she nods to Kazuki and quickly leaves.

Exachix nodds.

"Oh, ok then."

Kazuki goes bavk to his seat, leaving the water-stricken Voxendi under an anti-magic shell in the corner.

Voxendi wakes up from his not so water induced unconsciousness.

It hurts terribly

Can you tell us anything more about this curse? The details we have are a little thin to try to do anything about... and killing this Voxaldood or whatever is not going to be easy.

Exachix hmms.

"Doesn't seem very, easy."

Well, there isn't much known about the affects incorporated in the curse which can be activated by that bitch of a great grandmother of mine. The common effect of the family curse is that I can't think of fighting for a cause not supported by Voxaldood Schadon without falling unconscious. Voxaldood is the only member of the clan/family not affected by the curse, as she created the curse to keep us loyal to her. It's apparently an epic spell she was granted by Golandré and it's fueled through Voxaldood and the source of power is Golandré herself, well this is what my commune spells told me when I was trying to figure things out. Golandré wishes to stay in power, as she is the patron of the pantheon, yet the least worshipped. She's also the most evil creature I've ever heard of.

Ugh... Epic divine spell curses are always so messy. You know, it might be interesting (( though short-circuiting to what it looks like you are going for )) to have that Regiji guy give his aura of unmagic a try. He says he can extend it enough to obliterate magic entirely, like a supercharged disjunction spell.

*Atreyu trots around and munches happily on some grass.*

Wouldn't that mean I would lose my ability to cast spells?

Kazuki shrugs

I honestly have no idea. You would have to ask him if it is that invasive, or just destructive to currently existing effects.

Exachix smiles.

"From the sounds of it, no, only while the field is in effect, otherwise, you could still cast? Anyway, if it would work, it sure beats the life out of trying to kill a high level caster."

We should at least consider this, do you have any idea were he currently is?

Kazuki shakes his head

I've seen him at Trog's the times that I have seen him. Can't say that I really know him at all, just seen him there and heard him talking to people. I don't get around the Town all that much, you know.

Exachix smiles.

"You and me both. I think he sometimes pops in here though."

A scrying spell perhaps?

Kazuki nods and sends the acolytes to fetch the scrying mirror

Yeah, that will be easiest.

Let's hope he isn't protected against scrying then.

Kazuki casts the scrying spell, and sees only an indistinct blur (( As Regiji has posted many, many times ))

Bah... his antimagic is too strong. But if it can find him at all...

Kazuki changes tactics and uses his shadow-magic to look for Regiji's shadow, hoping at least part of it is outside the field of banality.

Exachix hmms and watches them.

Voxendi waits for Kazuki to finish.

I think his shadow's at the Goldshadow guild. Part of it seems to be, at any rate.

Kazuki nods and sends an acolyte with a message to the guild. Kazuki instructs the acolyte that Regiji might not be there, and if so to try Trog's.

Exachix smiles faintly and gets up. He walks ominously over to by the door, looking around, however, near the door he turns and goes to the fox-cola machine, whence there he gets a can and goes back to his seat, and opens the can. Before sipping.

Kazuki yawns and sends another acolyte to go fetch lunch.

Hungry, Exachix?

Exachix thinks.

"Only slightly. I guess you would be then."

"That's the problem with being a carnivore. You gotta find your food. When you're a plant-eater, food is always at your feet."

*he grins a big flat-teethed grin at the foxes*

Exachix smiles.

"I'm sure we can all have lunch here. And Llama, what about omnivores? They are the best" He grins. "And as most people here eat bread, we must be omnivores."

A strange, rabbit-like creature hops out. The thing is rather unique in that it looks to be fashioned from carrots.

It is soon followed by several more. They hop around the sanctuary floor, eating stray bits of chicken.

"Hmmm. You may have a point there and I know I'm not going to win any hoof vs opposable thumb argument."

*Atreyu slowly backs away from the strange carrot creatures, looking as terrified of them as if the Dark Lords of Ravenloft themselves just showed up and insisted that he come to visit.*

(oh no. It couldn't have just hopped off and been eaten by something in the woods.)

Exachix smiles.

"But you're our nice fuzzy llama anyway. So it may not even matter.

[Fenric]

Kazuki looks down to see what has Atreyu so spooked

Oh... those things. The mirror version of Izumi left us one. It seems to have made more somehow...

The acolyte returns to the temple. He comes over to Kazuki and bows.

He said that he would come and see what he could do.

The acolyte runs off to get some lunch himself.

Regiji walks into what ever section of the temple the group of assorted talking animals are occupying.

"So... who needs de-cursing?"

[Deus Mortus]

Exachix smiles.

"Looks like they've retained the rabbity part of their genes. Shame they aren't rabbits."

"Those...those are what the evil me left in the cage with me, so I'd have prey to kill."

*Suddenly hay starts falling on the poor things, attempting to cover them up.*

Kazuki gapes in shock at Atreyu's news and summons the acolytes

Get thost rabbit things out of here and destroy them. All of them. Now!

The acolytes jump to obey. Kazuki comes over to Regiji and introduces him to Voxendi, who is sequestered under an anti-magic shell.

Exachix smiles faintly and proceeds to organize the retaliation response, helping them move them out to a small area just outside the temple, ready to be destroyed.

[Deadly]

Sir Brown comes out from the room and looks around with a yawn.

[Rebonack]

Regiji nods and looks Vox over.

"I would suggest you remove any magic items that you would like to have functioning when I'm done," Regiji comments. "And everyone else would do well to back away a bit. This thing has a range of about ten feet. I wouldn't want to accidentally pop the llama's sapience."

[Fenric]

Kazuki and the acolytes all back away, well beyond ten feet.

[Exachix]

Exachix comes back in and smiles, before edging away, just hearing Regiji.

[InaVegt]

One question, will I still be able to cast spells after this treatment?

Voxendi removes his magic items and hands them to an acolyte.

[Atreyu the Masked LLama]

"Thanks, Kazuki. I...umm...yeah, its good they're gone."

*The llama skitters away a good 50 ft from Regiji and watches, trying to take his mind off the hunger craving he just had.*

Brown backs away a bit too, even though he's far more than 10 feet away already

[Rebonack]

"Yes, you will still be able to cast once I'm done," Regiji responds. "I'm basically going to act as a conduit to my home Realm. Anything supernatural there gets broken down into its component parts and dispersed," he pauses for a moment. "Well... not souls and stuff like that. I suppose that's kind of super natural. This will strip you of any magical effects you're currently suffering and since I've accidentally burned out artifacts like this before I don't think we need to worry too much about the curse surviving."

[Exachix]

Exachix moves slightly more away.

[InaVegt]

Okay, go ahead then.

((*is being very evil*))

[Exachix]

Exachix sighs and sits in a chair.

((be back after food))

[Rebonack]

"All right then. Sal, divert the power form the weapons grid into the conduit," Regiji requests, apparently addressing someone who isn't there.

Power transfer complete.

There isn't any visable effect at all. No nifty flash of light or peal of thunder. Despite the lack of anything flashy all magic within three meters of Regiji is instantly and permanently rent asunder as by a Disjunction spell with a caster level of 'lots' and a bonus to its save DC of 'No, you aren't going to save'.

Voxendi suddenly turns white (He used to be brown) and grows, till about human size, soon after he changes to an elf, with white hair.

What did just happen?

[Nevrmore]

"Whoa, this place is big..." Floyd observes, walking up the steps to the temple.

[Hoseki]

Valathe enters the sanctuary, still looking a little stunned.

[Rebonack]

"Well... I didn't expect that to happen..." Regiji says to no one in particular. "Sal, cut the power to the conduit."

Done

The aura of un-magic collapses back into its normal state. Incidentally, the anti-magic field that had been around Vox has now been obliterated as well.

Voxendi transforms into a fox, and a hybrid form similar to his old form, but larger.

Valathe blinks, and rolls back her left sleeve, showing a normal if very pale arm. "It worked... It feels... I don't know... bizarre."

Floyd walks around, strumming strings on his guitar.

"This place is big
It's really large
But I don't know
If it's in charge"

He sings, not really noticing how bad he is at making up lyrics on the fly.

Kazuki goes "aah" to Voxendi

So you really were a cursed form of Kitsune, then?

Kazuki smiles to Valathe

"Eerr..." Regiji thinks for a moment. "My hunch is that your people may have been were-creatures to begin with, but some sort of magic was keeping you all in a hybrid form and... well... smaller."

He shrugs.

"Just a guess though. I would have to know a bit more about your people and where you're from to give a better explanation."

[Nevrmore]

Floyd continues singing about what he sees.

"Hey look over there
It's a friggin camel
I'm pretty sure
That camels are mammals

It's got a mask
Just like Batman
I wonder if
He's got Shark Repllent in a can"

Valathe looks at the arm, and a strange smile spreads across her face. "Yes. Yes, it is."

Yes, it seems this antimagic effect has broken that curse as well. But, the Kitsune are supposed to be leaders on my homeplane, I don't like to be a leader, it forces me to make dicisions I don't want to make.

Lillah walks into the temple.

Once again the Halfling arrives, coming out from a shadow near the door and walking in, glancing around for one of the preist(esse)s or the Llama himself.

"That midget's got
A robo-hand
It's pretty weird

I wonder if
She can pet small creatures
Like maybe a cat
Or a dog or a beaver"

Kazuki shrugs at Voxendi

But you'd only be a leader if you went back. And if you went back right now, wouldn't that Voxaldood just make mincemeat out of you?

Kazuki smiles at Valathe, glad to see her acting happy for a change.

Kazuki tilts his head at Kerrigan

Why are you in such a hurry to find Atreyu, anyway?

That's correct, I guess. Though lots of people who only follow Voxaldood because she's a kitsune might start to follow me. And in melee combat a cleric beats the crap out of a sorcerer.

[Atreyu the Masked LLama]

*The llama turns to the singing man* "ummm....llama actually. Not a camel. I think camels are humped. I'm smooth and comfy."

[McBish]

Lillah goes to pray infront of Inari's statue.

[Exachix]

Exachix wakes back up and looks around.

"Holy crap!
That camel spoke!
It's all correcting me
Like it's just a joke." Floyd realizes he's still singing and stops.

"Err, I mean, holy crap! That thing talks!"

[Rebonack]

"Well... you're welcome for freeing you of your icky curse," Regiji begins. "I have some other people to talk to, so I bid you all farewell."

Regiji ceases to be at the temple.

The probe, however, had snuck out of Regiji's pack at some point. It bobs over to Floyd happily.

"You sing really good!" the probe bubbles. "I wish I were as good at making up song words as you!"

Voxendi (In humanoid shape) walks over to exachix.

"If you think that's impressive, you should see me juggle."

*He grins mischievously at the minstrel.*

Floyd's head shifts between the talking llama and the probe, confused.

"Err, thanks." He says to the probe, "It's what I do."

The halfling looks over to to Kazuki, giving him a soft smirk, "I have to do something imporant..." Ignoring the singer, she steps back into the shadows, shadow jumping over to Atreyu's side, "Excuse me."

[Atreyu the Masked LLama]

"ooh, ooh, do more. Sing about Kazuki next." *the llama points to Kazuki with a hoof.*

*he jumps slightly at Kerrigan's appearance* "Eeep. You startled me. You look familiar. We've met before, haven't we? "

[Exachix]

Exachix smiles faintly.

"Thank you, I'm always happy to help."

He smiles.

The halfling smirks to the Llama, nodding softly, "Afraid so... Don't struggle, please." With that, she slowly slides her boomerang out from its steath, trying to keep it hidden from everyone else.

Kazuki and the various day shift staff are a bit distracted by Floyd and the annoying probe, and do not notice.

"This midget sounds

Run, llama, run!
She's sick and not very slim!"

Exachix grins.

"Ah well, so how are you settling in?"

Pretty nice, though I could use some sleep.

Voxendi yawns.

Grishnak steps through the mirror that leads from Trog's and looks around at all the people and NPC's standing in the sanctuary "Oh, lots of standing up foxies"

Exachix smiles.

"If you need sleep, go have it. Although frequently I have slept and missed something fun." He frowns. "Ah well."

*Atreyu looks down, confused* "Huh? If you want a ride all you need to do is ask."

Kazuki turns to greet the newcomer

Greetings, neighbour: the blessings of Inari be upon you. What can we do for you today?

Voxendi bids everyone a good night and goes to his room.

[Exachix]

Exachix smiles to Vox, bidding him goodnight, before looking around.

The halfling shakes her head softly, taking a step back, " 'Fraid this isn't about a ride. Buh-bye." And with that, she swings her boomerang out of her arm, it not hitting, or even coming close to hitting the Llama... instead, the swirling trendles of shadow coming from it come around, and it attempts to hit Llama as it comes back.

[Grishnak Torug]

Grishnak walks towards Llama and points his stubby finger at him, grinning madly "Wow, a talking funny horse! I'm the mighty wiserd Grishnak, who you?" *looks briefly at Kazuki* "Grishank seen you before...Ka-zu-ke"

[Fenric]

Kazuki starts to reply, then feels the surge in shadow energy and spins around to see the boomerang

What the frell? Atreyu!

[Nevrmore]

"Whoa! Calm down, crazy Australian midget!" Floyd says as she throws the boomerang towards the llama. He gets ready to sing songs if need be ((Wow, that sounds a lot more wussy than I intended it to))

[Rebonack]

"Oh no!" the probe suddenly cries at Atreyu. "She's going to hit you with a curvy stick!"

[Atreyu the Masked LLama]

*The llama bleats in confusion and hops to the side to get out of the way, but rolls a 4 and stumbles over kerrigan*

[Exachix]

Exachix frowns and glares at Kerrigan.

"Normally, I'd just say get out, however, today I'm going to be unkind. Did you know he was a priest? And did you know that's a very stupid thing to do."

[McBish]

Lillah looks up in concern wondering who is attacking now.

[Gamerofthegame]

Kerigan completely ignores everyone, focusing all her attention on her current target, her form suddenly disappearing in Llama's shadow and she reappears at the otherside, in the air with her sword draw, giving a sideways slash to his neck.

[Rebonack]

((Gods automatically roll everything maximized. So Atreyu actually rolled a 20 =P))

The probe begins to bob around in the air frantically since it doesn't have the capacity to really harm anything.

"Oh! Oh no! Don't fall down!"

[Fenric]

Kazuki snarls and manifests Greater Shadow Evocation to blast Kerrigan with a shadowy Disintegrate

[Nevrmore]

Floyd quickly strums a few strings on his guitar, "Get on Top!" He sings. If it works, Kerigan and the llama will trade places.

[Exachix]

Exachix growls and justs casts Magic Missile

[Grishnak Torug]

Grishnak roars, levels his stick and casts a fairly miserable magic missile, which completely misses Kerrigan and hits the wall

[McBish]

((That's only greater deities. :P))

Lillah stands and heads into the gardens to get out of the way.

[Atreyu the Masked LLama]

(not going to be that easy, Kerrigan.)

*The llama ducks, bleating fearfully, and suddenly trades places with Kerrigan, thanks to Floyd's magic.*

Kerigan blinks, although hearing the various words of power, she hides in the shadow of Atreyu and planeshifts over to the shadow plane, although only for a moment, this causing the disintergrate spell to fail and probably have the magic missiles fly off with no target, Keri coming back to this plane from the ceiling and coming down, her sword pointed down, planning to stab right through Atreyu.

[Nevrmore]

This chick's good.

"Otherside!" Floyd sings. If this works, Kerigan will suddenly be travelling in the opposite direction of what she was. That is, she'll be going up instead of down. Take that, gravity!

[Fenric]

Kazuki summons his shadow clerics to lurk on the plane of shadows all around Atreyu.

Next time you go to shadows, my clerics will drain you to a husk.

That was dumb, and Kerrigan hasn't responded yet.

Kazuki scowls and casts Dimensional Lock on the area around Atreyu

Grishnak charges forwards attempting to bullrush Llama away from Kerigan's sword

Exachix casts another magic missiles

[Atreyu the Masked LLama]

*The color suddenly drains from Atreyu and he turns into a black and white version of himself, his eyes start glowing red, hoping going shadow will protect him.*

Kerigan growls softly, gussing this being some Shadow form of the Llama, which means she has to use her sword and not the boomerang. And so, she continues to fall, letting the magic missiles follow her down and do damage to her, and also give her a boost of speed in her downward thrust, her other hand grabbing her boomerang and tossing it in a downward arc, the shadowy magic damaging the preists on the shadow plane while it goes flying at the bull rushing orc to stop him, and then it goes flying toward Floyd.

[Nevrmore]

"Oh poopy!" Floyd says as the projectile nears him. He changes the song up, "Stop!" He sings. If it works, the boomerang will freeze in mid-air

The shadow priests who get hit yelp and flop over. The other priests rush over to help them.

Kazuki stomps and charges over, readying a touch-spell as he comes, with the Transdimensional feat applied to it.

[Grishnak Torug]

The boomerang hits Grishnak in the head, and with his momentum he built up, he goes tumbling forwards a fair distance before landing in a heap "Ow, who throw that stick?"

[Exachix]

Exachix groans and fires of another volley of magical missles.

*Atreyu bleats in pain as the sword slashes him*

"ARRGH!! Why!"

The librarian runs through the mirror from Trog's and hurries towards the battle, sword drawn.

Exachix waves to Libris before casting Spiritual Weapon Making a quarterstave in his hand.

[The_Librarian]

The librarian nods at Exachix, then runs at the halfling, swinging her sword.

The boomerang continues its run at the bard, the magic of it able to shrug off Floyd's, and so it smacks him right in the face, the magic of it exploding lightly and burning his skin painfuly before it arcs back with a good deal of spead, conviently (Possibley planned by ole' Keri here) hitting Kuziko before he can touch the Hin, and she begins to saw the blade in the Llama, trying to kill him as soon as possibley, biting her lip in pain from all the rest.

[Exachix]

Exachix glares at Kerrigan.

"Get. Off. Llama."

He charges, swinging his stave whence he enters melee.

[Fenric]

Kazuki curses loudly at his spoiled spell, and settles for just plain touching Kerrigan. (( -2 STR ))

From the ground Grishnak points his staff at Kerigan and blasts two standard magic missiles at her

Nightstar wanders in off the street in search of Fox Cola and sees the crazed aussie.

She starts to rummage through her bag, cursing fluently as she looks for her favourite gun.

The librarian stands back a step as Exachix moves in and tries casting her healing spell on llama.

Floyd flies backward from the force of the boomerang, tumbling onto the ground. He sits up, his nose bleeding.

"That hurt, you crazy midget bitch!" He screams, playing a few more notes on his guitar, "Flash of the Blade" He sings. Standing up, his guitar suddenly gives off Audible Sharpness, indicating that it is now a potent weapon. "Come on then, you Aussie." Floyd says, holding his trusty instrument by the neck like a sword.

[Lord Iames Osari]

Iames appears. Some kid said something about somebody attacking Llama. Whoever it is, you are under arrest for attempted murder. You can come quietly, or I can take you by force.

((Iames has to say that))

[Atreyu the Masked LLama]

(on one hoof, I told her I'd let her, on the other hoof, it seems improbable lose a fight at his temple, around his friends. Gah, lass, you need some tact.)

*Atreyu leaps away, off the sword, slashing muscles and tendons. His concentration broken, his form returns to normal, finding his rear left leg refuses to work, he stumbles and falls to the ground, fear evident behiind the mask.* "Not again! Please, Inari, not again. It hurts! HELP!"

*The bleeding is reduced from a flow to a trickle from Libris' touch, but its still there.*

[Rebonack]

Regiji materializes in the temple, his arms wreathed in opalescent energy.

"I was planning on having a relaxing afternoon," Regiji grumbles, spotting the metal armed, boomerang wielding woman pretty quickly. "But apparently Providence has other things in mind."

((She wins if the Llama dies. I'd say there is no way she couldn't lose, now. :P ))

Growls angrily, blindly charging at Llama, her warforged arm wrapping around her head subconciously to try and sheild her, even though she doesn't feel the pain, to focused on her target, uncaring about everyone around her.

[McBish]

Lillah listens to the fight out in the gardens. Hearing Llama call for help she stands and starts to move to the sanctuary.

[Nevrmore]

Floyd plays one last song on his guitar, noting that it was probably stupid to wait until after he made it a very sharp blade. "Run Like Hell!" He sings, ignoring the gash he is putting in his arm. Suddenly, like a cheetah on roid rage, he zooms over to Kerigan in the blink of an eye and tries to slash her with his now very sharp guitar.

[Grishnak Torug]

"Get away from funny horse!" Grishnak gets up and charges towards Kerigan attempting to tackle her before she can kill the llama

[The_Librarian]

The librarian turns and raises her sword to try and meet Kerigan's blade.

[Timberwolf]

"Ah, found it.."

Nightstar pulls out her favouritist gun ever, a Clan Autorifle that some gnomes modified for her (it was too big and the recoil was unusable) Although saddened to be firing on a fellow person of limited stature, she sstill flips down the bipod, braces against a wall and lets the aussie have it.

Kazuki touches Kerrigan again (( -2 STR, again ))

In the space of time between heartbeats Regiji interposes himself between the Halfling and the injured llama. His boot blazing with kinetic energy as he aims to punt the little runt clean over the temple walls.

"Eat your heart out Charlie Brown."

Exachix slows mid-strike, before reversing the motion and spinning around to hit her the other way. During the spin his fur darkens and the blue-ish emmanation from his stave turns a dark red. ((Shadowed now.)). He continues his assult to try and stop the wild lady.

[Gemini]

Gemini teleports in and looks around. He then draws his sword.

[Lord Iames Osari]

Iames's eyes flash yellow, and he smiles unpleasantly, firing a disintegration ray at Kerigan.

[McBish]

Lillah frowns not knowing what is going on.

(shock it all. I just figured out a much better way to do this. Time to PM Kerrigan.)

*The llama lets out a horrendous bleat of pain as his recently repaired but not quite healed muscles tear and snap again as he tries to do too much with them. Seeing his assailent approach, he kicks out with all four legs, trying to repel or trip her, desperate to agony the soul scarring agony that death brings.*

This little scene could be considered a viliant one. Now see, Halflings are big creatures, No, they are small ones. Keri is a Halfling. She is also running, but thats irrelvant.

But why is their size relvant? Well I will tell you. There is only so many spots everyone can swing at her. Now, you see, there is, what, 5 people trying to swing at her with a couple others casting magic? Well, A good deal of those are going to be intercepted by each other, and hell, that ray of Iames probably will hit someone else.

Having said this, anything that DOES connect to Keri she seemily ignores, continuing her desperate charge as she slashs wildly at the Llama, cutting at his legs and possibly dismembering a few.

[Nevrmore]

((I was about to say that it was probably a bad idea for everyone to be attacking Keri at once...))

Floyd feels his hit connect, but he's not sure if he hit Kerigan or one of the five or so people who seem to have implanted themselves around him. Annoyed, He once again blinks out of existence for a moment as he rushes between Kerigan and the llama, thrusting his guitar into her miniscule torso.

[Fenric]

Kazuki gets disintegrated. Being native to the plane of shadows, it just makes him go home. But home he goes, nonetheless.

[Lord Iames Osari]

Iames scowls, and he launches a telepathic attack on Kerigan's mind, hoping to fill her mind with every kind of pain imaginable, physical, mental, and emotional, until it overloads and ceases to function.

[Grishnak Torug]

Grishnak stops charging Kerigan (because of her point made) and instead runs to put his large bulk between the llama and the crazed midget, blocking her swings with his staff

[Gemini]

Gemini runs over to the llama. "You look injured, do you need help?"

[Timberwolf]

"Ohhhhh, this ain't working."

Nightstar picks the gun up and lovingly puts it in her bag. Then she wlks into the shadow of the pillar and emerges in a shadow on the ceiling, sticking to it by use of her old assassin training. Grinning unpleasantly, she pulls 2 grenades from her bag, pulls the pins and drops them, followed by drawing her swords and dropping off the roof, aiming for Kerrigan's head.

[Rebonack]

Regiji attempts to avoid nailing Exachix as he rushes in. The end result involves Regiji's kick going wide.

"Waaaaaaah!" he says comically as he flies into the air at an impossible angle. A few moments later he crashes to the ground head first some distance away with a loud "Aaaarrrrg!"

The probe begins to hum Linus' theme.

[Exachix]

Exachix growls, probably hit a few times, lets say he's got hit in the arm... the sleeve of his robe is cut and a little blood has dampened the robe around the wound, and as it's the right arm, his attacks visibly lessen in speed and their power, so much so that they are ineffective. Exachix realizes this and he groans and steps back, clutching his arm.

[The_Librarian]

The librarian takes a knock to the head and has to retreat as blackness and stars envelope her vision. Bitter tears run down her face though as she hears the llama's agonised bleats and can do nothing about them.

[Kyrian]

Kyrian appears, and heads over to Lillah.

Are you ok?

(Its your call, Kerrigan, how this turns out. I'll let you decide what happens, but give my PM some thought. If you're killed here, I'll have you rezzed.)

*Pained screams fill the air from the quadra..err triped as her swings strike true.*

[Saurous]

A small glow of energy appears in the temple, and then *POP*. Saurous suddenly appears where the lgiht was, his eyes looking surprised.

What the heck?

Kerigan con-

((Wait... Nightstar just dropped two grenades into the fray? ... Ok, everyone apparently dies.))

Kerigan continues her rush, Floyd and Regiji AND the orc hitting each other and clearing her way even more, and with a cry of pain she thrusts the curved sword into the Llama's stomach, trying to go for a stomach wound to kill him, basicly no matter what, and she falls onto the sword hilt, beginning to slip between conciousness and unconciousness from all the blood loss, Iames' attack completely ignored being that she isn't in the state of mind to be effected.

[The_Librarian]

The librarian regains her sight just in time to see the killer blow.

"LLAMA!" she screams.

[Gemini]

Gemini figures out who is what here, after thinking he charges toward Kerrigan, slashing.

[Kyrian]

Kyrian sees Kerigan and sighs. While waiting to hear from Lillah, he draws a gunblade and fires at Kerigan. Three times. One bullet of fire, one bullet of ice, and one bullet of electricity.

[McBish]

I'm fine just trying to figure out what is happeing.

((And I'm off for around half an hour.))

[Timberwolf]

(OOC they're mini grenades, I'm a tidgy little (human but still miniture) assassin who can't throw big things, they're more annoyance things and attention getters than death dealers, never could see the point of carrying big stuff if you can't use it, hence why all my guns are modified by gnomes)

Nightstar misses her drop and lands behind Kerrigan. she reaches into the hem of her dress and pulls out her extra long garotte (used for anyone over 6ft tall) and tries to loop it round Kerrigans legs to leg her up.

[Saurous]

Saurous rushes out of the temple and into the fray. He notices the carnage, takes note of who's on who's side. And rushes towards Kerrigan, shortsword drawn.

[Nevrmore]

"Arrgh! Damn you, Oompa Loompa!" Floyd shouts, writhing on the ground in pain. He gets back up to his feet and runs over to Kerigan, not caring that she probably can't move very well right now. He begins kicking her. "Stop - Being - So - Agile!"

[Gemini]

[Exachix]

Exachix sighs and closes his eyes, concentrating, before re-opening them. He's back to normal, but his arm is still hurt. He looks sadly on, unable to do much.

[Grishnak Torug]

Grishnak looks confused as he was saying he was going to do something then did something completely different

[Fenric]

The presence of the goddess swells and fills the sanctuary until the air tingles with power. Five brilliant shimmering orbs appear, and out setps Inari herself, Myobu, Myobi, an old man with a sack, and a man in very formal oriental court robes with a mandarin hat and long moustaches. The five avatars all look at the scene with immense distaste.

We are displeased that one would commit such gruesome murder in the very sanctuary.

She looks around, and raises her voice

ENOUGH!

[Nevrmore]

"Hold on, lady!" Floyd says, not even noticing that it is a goddess talking, "I want to kick this midge a couple more times!"

[Exachix]

Exachix sighs and bows to the avatars, a sad look on his face, but he's by the side of the sanctuary, out of the way.

[Rebonack]

Regiji sits up and notes that everyone and their grandmother are currently attacking the Halfling who happens to be busy hacking the guts out of the poor llama. One very odd question is currently central in his thoughts.

"Why the hell is she trying to kill a llama?"

He blinks at the incarnation of a god.

"I see..."

He quickly stands and gives his odd shallow bow.

[The_Librarian]

The librarian sheathes her sword, but doesn't take her tear-filled eyes off the llama.

[Saurous]

At the sound of Inari, Saurous stops in his tracks, jumps backwards away from Kerrigan, sheathes his sword, and moves away from the battle.

[Atreyu the Masked LLama]

"knew....knew you'd come....maybe i'll...see...kids parents."

*Atreyu's eyes close and his breathing becomes shallow.*
(I know better than to let him die in Inari's presence. Looks like we may have to use plan B, Kerrigan.)

[The_Librarian]

The librarian quietly moves to leave the sanctuary.

(Yeeeah Keri is screwed...)

The Halfling, prior to the crazy Floyd's kickings, coughs up some blood onto her blade, and then the kick connects to her size, toppling over to the floor with a audiable thump, the blood from her various wounds beginning to cause a puddle on the floor around her.

... She might be dead!

[Fenric]

The five avatars walk slowly and determinedly toward Atreyu and Kerrigan. Inari raises her hand and Dimensionally Locks the building as they advance.

[Kyrian]

Kyrian silently thanks Inari that he came in before she Dimensionally locked the place. He steps forward as well, watching Kerigan, gunblade aimed at her should she make another move.

[Exachix]

Exachix sighs and watches, although his mind is split between what's going on, and where Krystal was during this mess. Then he sighs and just watches.

[The_Librarian]

The librarian jumps as the temple is locked down. She looks around, heart racing and wanting nothing more than to flee. She runs for the door and out of the temple.

[Atreyu the Masked LLama]

*Atreyu sees Inari, bleats weakly, and wags, but he's so weak its barely visible*

[Nevrmore]

"Why'd - You - Have - To - Go - Hurt - That - Cool - Camel?!" Floyd says, still kicking at Kerigan's unmoving body.

[AmberVael]

"Will" bursts into the temple and suddenly stops when he sees the situation. With a silent curse he tries to back out without being noticed.

[Gamerofthegame]

The halfling just lays there, eyes closed, the kicking from Floyd causing a large pool of blood to form, the pool gradualy making its way over to his other foot to possibley make him slip to the floor.

[Saurous]

Saurous, who is now about 40 yards away from where Kerrigan was, he looks in the direction of the Librarian, and continues running, hoping no one else really paid attention to him.

[Fenric]

The five avatars surround Atreyu, Kerrigan, and Floyd.

The Secretary of Rice picks Floyd up by the scruff of the neck and deposits him on the other side of the sanctuary.

Myobu heals Atreyu. Inexplicably, Myobi heals Kerrigan and stands beside her.

Inari herself stands, attended by the traveller, and looks at Kerrigan

Despite the frequent threatenings of my avatar of rice, who is closely attending you, I do not slay mortals without substantial cause. I prefer that death not even occur within the buildings that I have hallowed.

However: you have killed or tried to kill my priest, here in my very sanctuary, three times. I will give you one opportunity to try to explain why you are doing this, before I decide what to do with you.

[AmberVael]

Will suddenly catches sight of Saurous, looks around, then gives chase, adding in small bursts of speed with his innate powers to catch up with him.

[Nevrmore]

"Hey! Let me go! I didn't get to kick her for what she did to my face yet!" Floyd shouts angrily as he is dropped carelessly onto the floor.

[Exachix]

Exachix still watches, before sighing and heading off to bed, quietly.

[Atreyu the Masked LLama]

*Atreyu trots around, testing his "new" leg and looking confused at Kerrigan*

"That was you before?!?"

[Kyrian]

Unless otherwise objected by any of the five, Kyrian holds his weapon at his side and stands on Inari's free side, ready to help her if he is needed.

[Rebonack]

The probe bounces around happily in the air watching the koi. It appears to be utterly oblivious to the whole situation.

Regiji is still standing where he had fallen, his head still bowed in respect.

[Gamerofthegame]

Kerigan blinks softly, coming back into focus. The realm of death didn't look to prmising, but once you look at it its hard to look away.

"Guh... Eh...?" She slowly raised her small body up, not yet acually getting on her feet, instead sitting softly still, blood all along her side and over her arms, healing or no, "... Its difficult to explain."

Damnit.

[Saurous]

Saurous looks behind him, and sees Will catching up with him. He turns around, and then stops suddenly.

[Atreyu the Masked LLama]

*The llama sits down, a mix of emotions mostly involving confusion and feeling betrayed coupled with relief of not being dead and that adrenaline rush*

[Fenric]

Inari's blue eyes remain impassive, but Myobi looks at Kerrigan with a cruel smile

The celestial fishpond can always use another koi.

Inari's eyes delve into Kerrigan's very soul

Restraining Myobi from punishment is even more difficult: so I suggest you make an effort.

[AmberVael]

Will would shrug, but that would be inefficient. He jumps to one side and runs along the wall, flinging a globe of ectoplasm at Saurous that should expand and trap him in a ten foot diameter circle of ectoplasmic force. He then jumps off the wall and rolls behind Saurous, not hitting the ectoplasm, but coming close to it.

[Timberwolf]

Nightstar discreetly sheathes her swords and rethreads her garotte. She stands off to the side wondering what's going on now and how her mission for a can of fox cola got turned into this. She's also looking at Inari curiously as this is her first encounter with one of the Towns pantheon.

[Grishnak Torug]

Grishnak walks slowly over to the Llama and pats him on the head "Grishnak glad you not dead funny horse"

[Atreyu the Masked LLama]

*Atreyu walks around, legs still shaking, looking for hugs and head scratches, but not straying too far from Inari's protection.*

*He nuzzles Grishnak, happy for the head patting.* "Thanks."
