I just wanted to know will Elan replace Roy? I mean we haven't seen him for a couple of strips. Besides Elan has gotten better at fighting and right now LG is the biggest problem. I'm not saying that when Xycon comes that Roy can't take charge again, but I just mean right now.

I think no, because :elan: is just so indifferent about the role of the leader. And :roy: is his best friend, so :elan: would never usurp :roy: 's place in the party.

No way. Elan really likes Roy and, i think, needs him.

Also, Elan is way too chaotic to be any kind of leader. That'll be the job of level heads like V's and Durkon's...

Elan sees Roy as a big brother figure. He idolizes him far too much to steal his place. Plus, you know, the whole idiot thing.

No. Each person has their own roll in this series. Also, even though Elan can actually fight now, Roy is still better.

No way. While Elan is a really awesome swashbuckling swordsman now,
a) Roy is still his best friend (at least to Elan)
b) He's still Elan, regardless of a level in Dashing Swordsman, so at best Roy *might* trust him a little bit more, perhaps if the party has to split up Elan could lead a group, or Elan might take watch for once. But I doubt he'll replace Roy.

No, because Elan is still very, very stupid.

Who could be possibly stupid enough to follow Elan order (except Thog)? Even if Roy die, the new leader would probably be V or Haley maybe even Durkon (sure he as a low charisma but he is the only one in the group ,with Roy, that got more then 11 in wisdom). Elan dont want to be a leader anyway, hes stupid but he is actually able to realize that he is stupid.

Elan only takes charge when there's no one else to do so. IF Roy's still around, he'll revert to his stupid natured self; however, if roy was incapacitated, he'd probably spin some quick plans and throw ideas and such around like he did in the past few weeks.

No, I'm sorry all you :elan: fans (although i am one myself), but altough elan did manage to overpower nale in a fight he still is a foolish idiot

We all love him though.

I think Elan's development has gone far enough. I'm pretty happy he's a little more competant and useful, but if he were to usurp Roy, I would not be happy.

I think that elan will never take over as leader because he is not clever enough to lead the group

Roy is the main character. Elan (or anyone else) will never take over permanently. You can count on that.

I highly doubt it, Elan may have gotten more competent and a pretty good fighting skills (note I said fighting skills not fighter) but Roy does make a better leader in terms of training and tactics..

Elan might now have the pizzazz and personal charisma to be a daring swashbuckler hero. But he lacks the mental and inter-personal discipline to maintain a cohesive team. While Elan is the soul of the team, he's also far too relaxed and absented minded to effectively inspire other people to action. In short, his leadership skills are pretty lacking.

Elan would look bad with a shaved head.

How is the Linear Guild, currently consisting of three people bound and gagged in an anti-magic cell in Azure City, the biggest problem right now?

nah. elan may have gotten better at fighting, but he's still elan.

Doubt it. We don't know who's a better fighter now, but Roy sure is smarter, and more level-headed.

No, Elan's still stupid and he only be Nale.
Nale's a fighter/rogue/sorcerer. His' AC and BAB are probably terrible.
Plus Elan's DS attacks require taunts. Doubt that'll work on 10 of Xykon's hobgobs.

Belkar will kill Elan before he becomes leader ;)

I concur with this statement. :belkar: would definitely kill :elan: before :elan: became leader and replaced :roy:
