Just curious, can you persist Blade of Blood [players handbook 2]? Persistent spell says it can be used on a spell with a "fixed or personal range", and I will admit I'm not sure what a fixed range means. Blade of blood doesn't have a variable range (it's touch), does that count as "fixed"?

Cleric with DMM and persisting the 3d6 version of the spell could be scary at first level, even if you have to use an extra slot to heal the self-damage you take.

When you look at the duration of blade of blood, it states 1 round / level or until discharged, so i think using persistent spell would make that 24 hours or until discharged, meaning that you can't persist it in the may that you would like.

At least i think this is how it goes, back me up anyone?

No, you can't persist Blade of Blood.

Spells of instantaneous duration, spells with a range of touch, and spells whose effects are discharged cannot be affected by this feat.

Ah, missed the "or until discharged" bit of the duration. I'm taking the RTFM feat next level!
