So l love Lego's, maybe not as much as a kid but they always have a place in my heart. Whenever you try to search Lego role-play or Lego D20 its always about using Legos as props for some other roleplay system. I would like to try to see what it would take to actually play as a Lego character. This could also make a family/kid friendly role-play experience. This post is going to cover several different questions and what I feel would best meet it. Please feel free to answer or even add new questions.
1: What game system to use
My first thought is using mutants and masterminds. Lego has a wide range of licenses and characters it uses and M&M also allows for a wude range of characters. (My experience is with 3e so that is what ill be referring to) M&M also has an OGL SRD (http://www.d20herosrd.com/).
2. Character points, character level
While each campaign is different what would the average character level be. I think that your average Joe lego experience and even a little more powerful Lego characters because they are Lego's dont need a big level. Definitely want to here more on this.
3. Death and Injury
This is going to be the biggest thing the separates a Lego d20 from a regular d20. I would believe in most situations instead of death your character comes apart. Perhaps you have a special place where your characters comes back or medical trained minifigs are trained to put them back together. Again I really want to here more on this.
4. Building
So this would be the reason why you would want to play a Lego d20. For now I would say each character has a skill in lego building and like the games this is how you can fix puzzles or perhaps rebuild a lego city.
More questions and comments to come later ....
