I was considering the possibility to use Shrink Item (http://www.d20pfsrd.com/magic/all-spells/s/shrink-item) on a Ballista.

Ballistas, like gangsters, come in all shapes and colors (some got killed in the past.)

As has been mentioned, ballistas vary widely in size. Some are much smaller than a man (http://www.medienwerkstatt-online.de/lws_wissen/bilder/3243-3.jpg) whilst others are much bigger (http://www.legionxxiv.org/catapulta/lrgballistacrew.jpg).

The one in the SRD occupy a space that is less than 5 ft x 5ft. There are no information on the height. This should give something to start from...

I'm amazed that I got that one.

It is important to note, however, that one will need to carry it around: Real huge-sized ballistae (again, much like gangsters) can't Withdraw for ****, 'cause real huge-sized ballistae can't run fast.

Ballista
A ballista is essentially a Huge heavy crossbow fixed in place. Its size makes it hard for most creatures to aim it. Thus, a Medium creature takes a -4 penalty on attack rolls when using a ballista, and a Small creature takes a -6 penalty. It takes a creature smaller than Large two full-round actions to reload the ballista after firing.

A ballista takes up a space 5 feet across.
