I am allowed to get ONE (No change back) Magic Item up to 10,000 gp, and if I add it to an item i must leave it there to be worked on (We are going to be fighting a dragon) I am a warblade with these stats: str 21, dex 15, 22 con, 9 int, 10 wis, 2 cha.

I have: +1 Aptitude Kuri, Mithral Armor, Healing Belt, Strongarm bracers. The Strongarm bracers are also bracers of opportunity.

That depends. What are your stances/maneuvers you have already picked out?

What's your race?

Do you know what the rest of your party looks like?

What level are you?

What level are you? What equipment do you already have? Any magic items, or will this be your only one? What are your party members like? What type of combat style (weapon, feats and maneuvers) do you use?

Really you have to give more information if you want a meaningful response.

Otherwise, my answer is +2 weapon (probably greataxe or greatsword, anything two-handed really) for 8,300 and change.

It says if he upgrades he won't get to keep it, at least not right away.

Do you know how long you have to wait? If it's a few days, just mess around while you wait, if it's a few weeks.. well, I'm not sure then. :smallyuk:

I am a level 8, I am a Dragonborn Wild Arctic Water Orc, The rest of the party is a master specialist conjurer, a druid, and a fighter all lvl 8. As for the maneuvers and stances: Moment of Perfect Mind, Ruby Nightmare Blade, Emerald Razor, Bounding Assault, Douse the Flames, Leading the Attack, White Raven Strike, Pearl of Black Doubt, and Stance of Clarity (the last two are the Stances)

I didn't say upgrade. Upgrading would cost less.

If you know which dragon and if your group has enough knowledge about it you could prepare accordingly.

(I'm the druid in this question), And I'm glad he came here for help. (He also happens to be the subject of my crit fishing thread :P)

Well, I have a feeling you'll be wasting some of the rewards value, but your typical +2 to any stat from an item runs 4000 gp. Like amulet of con, gloves of dex, and so on.

Cloak of resistance +2 is under 10k.

Was there anything you wanted from the magic item list linked in the first post? Bag of holding is always useful.

Have you considered using your 10k to help anyone else in the group?

Fiendhelm and Angel helm are under 10k but require alignment restrictions. What are you?

Candle of Evocation is under 10k, but make sure you have a Shield of Dungeon Master Book-Throwing before you try any tricks with it.
