What monster would be cool to play if you could basically ignore their savage progression levels. It does not need to have 20levels or anything but might be cool.

Like pixie, orge, succubi, ect

For the purpose of using with class to run as a Gestalt to allow class levels to the MC

If homebrew is allowed, try these. They're much better anyway, both in game balance and general writing.

If you want to play a monster I do highly encourage the homebrew liked above (I have the giantitp thread bookmarked for my players).

However since you are gestalting, choose your race for flavor. I personally have wanted to play a Mind Flayer but the savage species monster class was so underpowered that I decided not to.

Blend this (http://www.giantitp.com/forums/showpost.php?p=9159107&postcount=1357) with Warblade in gestalt, and finish it up with Psion on the other side when you're level 13.

I'm confused. Are you talking about running a monster on one side of a gestalt, or about ignoring RHD and LA entirely (in which case, Black Ethergaunt lololol).

Ok not sure here but it sounded like the OP was saying run a monster on one half of the Gestalt to allow for class levels but I might have misread so don't quote me. But that is about the only way to play a monster class without feeling and being crippled.

Ghaele or Trumpet Archon // Crusader 20 - divine warrior tank: 7th level cleric spells, tons of SLA's, 9th level maneuvers - not too shabby
