View Full Version : Friendly Advice Blue meth from Albuquerque, New Mexico

So, I bought some blue bath salts that look very similar to the blue Meth crystals from Breaking Bad, and I want to give them as a present to a friend of mine.
I want to present them in a fake US mail envelope, so that it seems it has been sent from Albuquerque. Bonus points if the sender is "Walter White".

I need to know how a US package, stamps, etc. look like for this fake to seem realistic.

Assume I have all the necessary photoshop skills and so on, I just need to know how the things must look like.

Thanks, Pasko

Here's a postmarked letter -- postmarked in Alberquerque

You could have a letter sent to you from Albuquerque with an address label that you could then cover up with a larger label with the correct address. Then you could just write in the correct return address. Then you would have the envelope with the correct post mark. Now you just need someone from Albuquerque. Hmm.

Ok, perfect, thanks. Now I need to know if the standard us packages have any colors/logos/etc. The few times I received books from abroad, they were from Great Britain, and they had a very distinctive set of marks and colors (and written "royal air mail" on them). I was wondering if US packages are similarly decorated.

It's not just a letter, it's a package, I need to know if there are any special decorations on US packages (I'm assuming that "standard" packages are bought at the Mail Office, at least in Italy it works like this).

Wait, are you from Albuquerque?

A Google Image Search of 'usps package' should give you a good idea of what the packages used by the US Postal Service look like. Alternatively, if you feel like a non-governmental alternative, 'FedEx package' or 'UPS package' will provide you with a good idea of what those extremely popular shipping services do with their parcels.

Combined with the postmark on that letter above, you should have all the information you might need to get the job done.

Envelope-style package (http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-lHLdrhP3HzE/TVm7biOxOsI/AAAAAAAAAAc/XH0_jSqRfCo/s1600/2011-02-14_13-01-01_976.jpg) (there's probably a name for these...)

Box Package (http://www.cpfreviews.com/Arc6/IMG_3781_Arc6_Package.jpg)

That's what mine have always looked like, but you might also consider looking up the packaging used by FedEx and UPS. I'm in AZ, so while I can't definitely say NM's are the same, we're fairly close geographically/culturally.

Indeed I am.

Really? Me too, although Rio Rancho to be more accurate.

Nice. Don't run into many others on the interwebs that I don't already know in meat space. I'm in Taylor Ranch myself, so not that far from you.
