This thread is in the same spirit of the Duergar thread.
As a fan of gnomes in general, I've always been curious about this race but rarely see it mentioned much. For a +2 LA I can understand why, but is there any sort of build that would make good use of the deep gnomes?
Edit: This would be for 3.5. If I'm not mistaken the Svirfneblin are actually one of the more OP races in Pathfinder, so they're not too hard to work with in that game.
