So if you may have pieced together from some of my recent threads, I'm working on a Kenku Binder. What I'm wondering is, is there any more detailed source of info on the Kenkus than MMIII? All it really goes over is their niche in societies of larger races and cities. I'd like to read up on how they act, the language they use, that sort of thing. So are there any other official places to find info on them?

You have this (http://www.wizards.com/default.asp?x=dnd/iw/20040912b&page=4) web thingy from WotC.

Then there is wikipedia (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kenku).

But I can not seem to really find any good sources with extensive info.

Dragon Magazine #329 contains an article on the Ecology of the Kenku, which goes into quite a bit of detail on them.

This is pretty much what I'm looking for. I guess they didn't really give anything about their language or naming process, but the bit about Pazuzu and Vecna is quite interesting. Thanks.

You could also draw inspiration from the Kenku in Legend of the Five Rings.

The Kenkus from there are just Tengus with a different name. They just don't feel the same. Way too much of an eastern feel.

Too much of an eastern feel...?

*blink blink*

"Kenkus have their basis in Japanese mythology as karasu tengu, where they are powerful and wise crow spirits adept at craftsmanship, and masters of the art of Japanese swordplay, or kenjutsu." - Wikipedia.

How horrid. This "Eastern" race feels "too Eastern". :smalltongue:

How dare you use logic in my realm!?
I meant compared to the D&D ones, which heave a Western, thief of the night, feel to them. They have sort of a mobster family kind of thing going on.
