Magic items and magic/psionic transparency

Quick question: Do magic items that affect spell-like abilities also affect psi-like abilities? Does transparency extend that far? Is there anything listed in any of the books that would cover this?

It's kind of a DM call, I don't think it's explicitly spelled out, or at least it isn't in the majority of cases. Some items are more easily adapted as well, and some are nearly impossible. For example a Lorestaff is almost impossible to work in, but a Rod of Empowerment could be worked in easily.
