Gaming Aids at the Dollar Store

Gotta love those "Everything a $1" stores. I found some real gems to add to my miniature collection, stuff you'd love to have from the hobby store, but not at the cost. Found a bag of 20 ninjas and 20 knights, 3 each are mounted, several different weapons. Of course they're all plastic, but for big fights against 30 skeletons... Also those bags of bugs, critters, and frogs are a good size for monstrous buggies vs your character minis. Once you've seen those Youtube videos of giant centipedes eating mice, the player cring when you break out the rubber centipede, hehe.
Down the aisle, nice tackle boxes are great for carrying minis. Any other cost saving measures out there?

I have often thought of using the Thrift Store to get plastic playsets and the like to chop up and paint for giant terrain.
